Year old prompt I wrote. Will be adding more, I assure you! **All characters belong to their respective owners.
Ralphie always wondered how Keesha had such faith in him and their relationship when she had been deceived about relationships her entire life. He had watched her parents arguing about the simplest of things; he had watched her father walk out on her and her sisters, not returning for a few days at least. The Franklin household had raised three daughters with warped ideas of love.
At first Keesha had thought it was normal to have screaming matches daily. Ralphie soon proved her wrong when he ran after her the first time when she left in the middle of the argument. It took time for Keesha to realize no matter how hard she pushed Ralphie would never back down.
Keesha's father had been a man of few morals. He was constantly swearing, yelling, hitting, and badgering her mother. He had never hit his children, but the mental abuse was enough. The concept of a man cherishing a woman as much as Ralphie did for Keesha was foreign to her sisters. They would question Ralphie's intentions, nearly turning their elder sister against him. But the deceived woman always returned to her boyfriend.
Ralphie was the only person in her life that had never led her astray then abandoned her. For that she was forever grateful for.
