"I do, Augustus. I do." I say. Then my new husband lifts my veil as kisses me softly. We turn to our friends and family. Everyone stands and claps. Cheers echo through the church. I see Issac in the crowd. My parents. Gus's parents. Everyone we love is here. Even Peter van Houten is here. We rush down the isle and get into the limo. I'm smiling so much my cheeks hurt. I am Hazel Grace Waters!
"That just happened!" I say stunned.
"Yes, it did, Mrs. Waters," Gus say with an unlit cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I am so proud of him. He is proud of me. We both beat cancer. I no longer have to drag an oxygen tank around to help me breath. My lungs don't suck anymore! I am so happy. Augustus leans over and kisses me on the cheek. "I love you, Hazel Grace."
"I love you, Gus."
"Okay?"
"Okay."
"I'm not afraid of oblivion anymore." Gus tells me.
"What are you afraid of?"
"Losing you."
"That will not happen. Ever."
"I know."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay." I laugh ad Augustus puts his arm around me. We are on our way to Amsterdam for our honeymoon. Amsterdam is our favorite place. We had our first kiss there. He told me he was in love with me there. That's where he purposed. It's our special place. Oh, um,something else happened in Amsterdam that I won't mention...
We pull into the airport. I get out first and help Gus get out of the limo. He puts his real leg on the pavement first the the fake one. We enter the airport together and get our plane tickets. Once on the plane it takes off into our little infinity if happiness.
