"This is bad. This is veeerry bad."

I had to agree. According to reports, a woman with a yellow parasol and a musket had taken over a carrier in the ocean, killed the soldieres on board, and painted a giant swastika on it with their blood.

We needed a plan. Alucard was certainly going, but how did you get a vampire to the middle of the sea? Officer Victoria was getting a bit annoying with her worries over the mission and her master, so I dismissed her. Besides, I needed time to think.

"Well, well. Loks like you're having a rough day."

I shut my eyes, rubbed the bridge of my nose, and turned back down to the papers strewn about my desk. I wished that would've been Walter instead, nagging me to go and get some rest. His insistence on me going to bed was annoying, but better than HIM interrupting.
When I tried to sign off on a few more documents, my hand was stopped by a much stronger one. So I caved and looked up.

The smug look on Alucard's face was infuriating, to say the least. Every time I tried working when he came in, I heard him gab about a range of things before he told me I'd make a wonderful vampire. Tonight was no different.

He wanted me to join him; to be neither dead nore alive. Always this. If I hadn't known better I'd think this was all he thought about.

As always, he laughed when I told him that I'd rather not become undead and to go bother the staff. It'd be great if I had a blessed silver cage to stuff him in. Maybe I should give that idea to Walter...

As always, he chuckled as he faded away, down to his room in the basement. I've dealt with the same irritating routune for a decade--no, more, really.

Pull out a cigar, light it, sigh with it between my teeth. Go back to the mission reports; other attacks; letters from the other members of the Queen's table.

As always.

Written for my music class. We had to come up with a short story containing a few words made from the musical alphabet, and in the last few minutes of class I came up with this. Note that this was BEFORE I had volume 4 with me, so I had no reference other than my memory. Oh, and I still don't own Hellsing.
