Embrace Me, My Love
"Edward Elric! You are the most inconsiderate jerk I've ever known!" Winry shouted and stormed out of the room. Al stumbled in Paniko's door (his metal armor clanking) shocked by the yelling and some other "colorful" words exchanged that he had heard before the previous sentence. "Nii-san, what just went on here? What's wrong with Winry-chan?" "She can be so damn annoying sometimes!" shouted Ed. He walked out of the room looking very pissed. Al stood in the middle of the room with a quite large tear drop on the back of his head. "I'm so confused. Granny?" he asked Paniko. "Yes, Aru-chan?" "What just went on here?" "Well..." Paniko started. "Ed had brought a locket that belonged to her mother. Apparently, it brought back the pain of her parents' death." "Oh..." said Al looking down, seeming sort of depressed. "Umm...oh..." Al stuttered. He walked up the stair to the room Ed stayed in. All who was left was Paniko smoking her pipe in deep thought. Ed sat in the guest room of the house. He looked deep in though himself. "Nii-san..." Al said coming in the room slowly. "I thought she would like it. I really love Winry...um..like a sister" he said catching himself. Al sat down next to Ed on the bed. "Brother, remember how upset Winry-chan was about her parent's death?" Al spoke quietly and looked up at Ed to see if he was listening. "Yes" said Ed. He gazed out at the window, his golden eyes glowing with the sunset. "It may have reminded her of that pain as a young child. It was probably very difficult to go through." "Maybe I should talk to her." Ed said loudly with a determined look on his face. He snatched the locket from the nearby dresser.
Ed hurried downstairs and ran outside to the hill that Winry, Ed and Al had always sat on as kids. Sure enough, Winry was there with her face buried in her arms that rested on her knees. Ed sat down next to her and put his red coat around her. She looked up to see Ed's smiling face. "What the hell do you want?" Winry mumbled with tears rolling down her cheeks. He looked down. "I want to let you know that I...I'm sorry for bringing back that pain. And that I think your mother would have wanted you to have this." Ed stood and helped her up. He put the locket in her hands. "And also that I love-" his words were cut of by Winry's soft lips...on his. Ed blushed extremely red, but what he didn't realize until now, he was kissing her back. He embraced her tightly, his warm hands rubbing her back, still kissing her. Winry's arms were around Ed's neck. The coat flew off but they didn't care. What could they say? They were in love.
Fifteen years later, Winry lied on the hospital bed holding her husband's hand and looking down at their newborn daughter. "She's so beautiful." Winry said. "Just like her mother" Ed said quietly. Al, Paniko, and her now old dog stood around the bed looking at the new life that had just been conceived.
