So, this is basically a musing that I just needed to get off my head, a lot shorter than I originally thought it would be though.
The Theodora stood, suspended in time as she let the wind rush towards her. The world was hers for the taking; she smiled to herself and raced down the hill like a child. The whole Land of Oz was not big enough for her longing to know everything and to explore. She rolled down at the foot of the hill her breath catching with excitement. She wished Evanora was here to enjoy with her. She had been so tense lately, or better yet Glinda. 'No' she thought. She had devastated her when she found out what Glinda did to their father, so she pushed the thought to the back of her mind.
She continued along the stream, occasionally a Fish would jump out and greet her from the water. But she never dared to stray so close, she couldn't. Theodora was looking up at the beautiful-forever-blue sky when it turned grey. It swirled in grey clouds and released a balloon and basket that plunged into the water fall below it. She clutched a tree as the storm rumbled than disappeared into nothing, and she cringed when the basket hit the water and went beneath the surface.
Her curiosity peaked as she ran along the water's edge and came along the stepping stones carefully finding her way across. She ducked behind the bushes and watched amused as a man flailed in the water.
"HELP! HEEEEELPPPPPP!" He cried out waving his arms rapidly.
For a moment Theodora was sure the man saw her but realized he didn't when the man stood up abruptly and put his water logged hat on with as much dignity as possible.
