Some time had past since Zira's Reign of Terror Ended. The Outlander pride was accepted back into the Pridelands with Open Arms. The Great King Simba's daughter Kiara became mates with the Former Rouge Kovu. They were blessed with Three beautiful cubs; Koda, Asha, and Leah. Koda was the middle child. He had his Mother's Rebellious Spirit and he was a bit Headstrong. Asha. Was the Eldest of the Litter, probably the most level-headed cub the Pride has seen in a long time. Little Leah was the youngest. She was born crippled, her back left leg couldn't out so she always limped when she walked, and she couldn't run very well either. Kovu and Kiara tended to keep her close to home, they feared that she could get into serious trouble. It was the beginning of a Rainy Season.
Two young cubs ran from the den, excited for a day of play. "Beat you to the Water Hole!" The darker one laughed. He had a nice hair tuft going back. "He-he! You wish!" The Elder one said, she was redder and had no tuft. "Hey cubs, where do you think you're going?" The Queen asked the two. "We're just going off to the Waterhole Mom!" The red one, Asha exclaimed. "Alright, just be careful, Okay?" Their mother warned them. "Come on Mom! We're ALWAYS Careful!" Said the dark one, Koda. 'Uh huh' Queen Kiara said to herself when she heard a young voice shout behind her. "WAIT FOR ME GUYS!" The young cub ran off to join her siblings. "I wanna come too!" She continued running, panting all the way. Though as she was running, she tripped and fell on her back. "Leah, are you okay, that was quite a fall…" The queen told her daughter. "Yeah I'm fine! Its not like I haven't tripped over on that rock before -_-" "I know Leah, that leg of yours-" "YEAH THAT STUPID LEG!" The cub growled. "Now Leah, I know you're frustrated with it, but you'll get the hang of it.." "I doubt it!. I', so lame! I can't even run two feet without tripping over something, or someone... I don't even know why I even BOTHER leaving the cave.." Kiara sadly looked down at her daughter, until she got an idea. "Well, if you're too lame, I guess I'll have to find someone else to come with me to the water hole to visit Grandma and Aunt 'Tani" Leah then perked up. "Well…. I guess I could leave the cave, this once." She giggled. They then went off to the Waterhole to see Nala and Vitani dozing off and having a lazy day at the waterhole. "Aunt Tani! Grandma! I've come to-" She then tripped over her paw again. "OOF!" Vitani then caught her Niece. "Careful squirt, you don't want to grass up your nose, do ya?" Leah giggled. "Hehe! No Ma'am" "So, what brings you to the waterhole today?" Vitani asked.
Well… Umm….. I just thought I'd spend the day with my family this afternoon!" Vitani giggled then slightly frowned. "Aww, Leah, you know we love your company, but you should really hang out with cubs your own age."Leah sighed. "But I'm a loser! I'd just slow em down!" "You're not a loser Leah! Your siblings are just down at the banks!" Leah looked back at all the cubs. "Why don't you join them. Whats the harm?" Nala asked her Granddaughter. "You know… you're right." She laughed then headed down to them. "Thanks guys! See ya!" Asha chased down a tannish cub. Another cub called out. "HA! Now Akila's 'it!'" Koda caught up. "Just to make it interesting…. Both Akila and Asha are 'IT'!" Say what? The tan lioness said. "Ha! You heard me!" Koda laughed. "NOW YOU GOTTA CHASE Asante, Dogo, and ME!" The three cubs laughed and ran off. "C'mon Ash! Lets get those Idiots!" Akila laughed.
