AN: So, this story is based off the idea of what would happen if Mey-Rin were a Demon, instead of Sebastian. Over time I'll try to write as much of the story as I can, with Mey-Rin in place of Sebastian, Ciel's loyal demon at his side. Anyway, she is OOC in this Chapter since this is only the Summoning, but I intend for Mey-Rin to be more in character as the story progresses. Thanks for reading!

Who was summoning a Demon?

The people were screaming, backing away. Which one could it have been? Was it the man in the bird mask? The lady dressed not quite appropriately for this time? What a horrendous place this was.

"Grant me eternal life!" Cried one man. I turned to look at him, looking him up and down.

"No," I answered, coldly. It was someone else. I was getting close. Their scent reeked. I closed my eyes, following my instincts. When I opened my eyes, I saw a tiny, scared little boy, beaten and bruised.

"Oh," I said, a smile curling on my lips. "So this is the one."

I stared down at him. In my Demon form, I was much taller than him. I smirked, watching the boy, who was gripping the bares in the cage he was in. "You have given a big sacrifice," I started. "Now it's your choice whether to make a Contract with a Demon and have your wishes granted, or not. The price to Cross the River has already been paid~"

The boy was shaking in his cage. I put a nail to my chin, watching him with a smirk on my face. How old could he be? Ten, perhaps?

"I...I...I want power!" He said.

People gasped, looking as though they were about to smack him. I just stared down, putting my hands to my mouth, giggling at this. It had been so long since I had made a Contract. It could be fun.

"I want the power to take revenge on the ones who did this to us!" He shouted. He looked up at me, eyes wide with anger. "Demon!" He yelled. "I'll make a contract with you!"

"So you'll be abandoning the light for the path to hell, yes? Good. Then we shall mark our bodies with the Contract Seal," I said, spreading my claws out, preparing for what the boy would say. I couldn't see him well in this light. "The more visible the seal is put, the stronger the power, it is." Not only that, but the easier for me to see it.

"Anywhere is fine," He answered, throwing a hand out between the bares, as he began to shout again. "I want power stronger than anyone else's!"

"What a greedy boy, you are," I laughed. I put my hand on his head. "I'll put the seal on that big eye of yours. Already filled with sadness, it seems..."

He let out a scream. The light around us shone, as it did whenever a Demon made a Contract. The seal, after a minute, was set.

"What is your name?" I asked, curiously.

"My name is..." The boy started. There was a pause. "Ciel. Ciel Phantomhive. The one who will inherit the house of Earl Phantomhive."

"Ooh, I see," I said. "Than I'll take the form of someone suitable for an Earl, I will."

I walked away, as my appearance began to change. Dark purple hair, a maids uniform, with black stockings, a blue bodice and white apron. Of course, I still couldn't see very well, as the light gave out, making everything more dim. What I could see was my young Master.

"Well then," I said, with a grin, wiping down my apron. My new brown eyes stared down at him. "Give me an order, my Lord." I bowed before him.

An Earl, and his Maid. This should be fun enough.
