Gibbs Needs A Dream (another one)

Summary: SPOILER ALERT for season 11 Devil's Triad. Gibbs sleeps after Tobias and Diane leave at the end of the episode.

Gibbs sat up forcefully, his breathing panicked. He was shivering, still in the clothes from the day before with no blanket covering him. His cold hands were stiff and he groaned, flexing and rubbing them vigorously as he got his breathing under control.
After a quick trip to the bathroom, he was redressed in sweats and snuggled under a blanket on the sofa, his head resting on the pillow. The light from the street lamp filtered through the front window and he closed his eyes, knowing the situations from the days before had caused his nightmare. Tobias and Diane were getting back together and they had asked for his blessing.
Tobias hadn't said a nice thing about their ex-wife in over two years, but had displayed jealous behavior even while Diane was married to Victor. In the last couple of months, Gibbs had believed his friend had finally moved past his marriage and divorce and was focusing on daughter Emily. Diane had several recent sexual partners, apparently not even breaking off with one before taking another. She had cheated on Tobias while they were married and though she and Victor were getting divorced, she was sleeping around while technically still married to him. And she had told Gibbs that he was her Shannon. What had changed? Could she truly love Tobias? Was it just sex or maybe that they were comfortable with each other and didn't want to be alone.
Abby, Tony, Ducky, Leon, Ziva, Tim and even Jimmy had come to him at one time or another seeking relationship advice or just needing someone to listen while they worked it out on their own. When did that start? He couldn't remember, but knew he wanted it to stop. Pulling the blanket under his chin Gibbs sighed, hoping for a return to sleep and a wonderful Shannon dream.
