**Disclaimer: I do not own anything with BONES. My stories are not for profit, not that anyone would buy them anyhow. They are just for pleasure. I just love Booth and Bones love story. **

Author's Note: I am the only one to proof this so I apologize if there are errors. I haven't posted in a while and I wanted to post as soon as I could. Hope you enjoy it even though it is short. There is a 2nd author's note at the end.

Maybe There Is Fate

She awoke. His arms still wrapped around her as they had fallen asleep. She just laid there in silence, feeling his heart beat in a hypnotic rhythm and his breath against her neck. She had lost the last bit of her imperviousness. She was no longer the person she was a month ago, a day ago or even an hour ago, laying there thinking, letting him sleep. This was never what she expected from her life at least not what she had expected before she met him anyhow. She definitely had changed since he had been in her life. Seven years ago this arrogant "alpha-male" who challenged her, who still challenges her became her partner, her friend and now her everything. Why that night he fired her from their first case did she not take him home. It was not like she would let the consumption of alcohol stop her from taking a man home to satisfy her biological urges. He fired her it wasn't like she would ever see him again. Yet after THAT KISS in the rain she went home alone stating the fact that "tequila" was the reason that they couldn't sleep together. Maybe that little thing called "fate" that he believed in so much had something to do with it. She would never tell him that he may be right because she would never hear the end of it. Though she thought it really didn't need to be said. Here they were, her laying in his arms and not because they were undercover and pretending but because finally all the planets were aligned (metaphorically) and they were one like they were always meant to be. They crossed that line and the dam did not break. They were still the center and the center still held. Both of them had been scared. She knew she was still scared but she knew she was a strong substance and could handle it. Being without him was a lot scarier than being with him. They had hurt each other more trying not to hurt each other that neither one of them were able to be apart. Just the thought of them being apart gave her the chills. So she snuggled up closer to him hoping he would tighten his grip around her but instead he woke up.

"I'm sorry I woke you."

He brought her into him closer, nuzzled his chin into her neck and brought his lips ever so close to her ear. "No need to be sorry. Waking up with a beautiful woman in my arms. There isn't anything better than that."

With those words said, she wiggled so she could turn and face him so he loosened his grip ever so slightly. Instead of saying good morning like she had planned, once her eyes met his, "Maybe it's fate."

He pulled her back closer to him once more. Their eyes still locked. "But you don't believe in fate Bones."

Now their lips just inches apart, "But you do and I believe in you Booth."

And with her words their fate was sealed with a kiss.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed it. I would love feedback.

Author's Note #2: To those who follow my writings, I have to apologize for not updating my other stories. My muse seemed to be on vacation and then seemed to be coming back when I started writing this little story. Then someone crushed my muse's spirit and now she seems to be dead. I hope that my muse isn't. I'm not very satisfied with this story. I think it was a good premise but I think it fell very short. Tell me what you think and if it really does suck I'm truly sorry.
