As Jason felt the cart come to a stop he heard things being pulled out of it. He could see through a crack. AJ was moving the cart out of the way. Jason knocked.
"What are you doing here?" she wispered.
"None of you told me what to do and not do so i made my own decision." he whispered back.
"Just, don't get caught." she said.
"Not planning on it." Jason replied sliding out."
"now where are you going?" AJ asked, kind of irratated.
"that tree." Jason replied, pointing to the singular tree next to "the great chasm" as he was told it was called. With that he peered around to make sure no one was looking. Then ran. He dove behind the tree and then climbed up.
Jason could see through the leaves, but no one could see him. He saw AJ whisper to Twilight. She turned and looked for him Jason stuck his hand through the leaves and waved. She did a awkward wave back.
"Here they come, be ready!" Celestia yelled. Jason noticed two ponies, similar to Celestia and twilight. One was pink and one was a dark purple almost black from his angle.
Then it loomed from the distance a marching wave of the black surging "skin." then it stopped. That was when Jason saw him. The figure from the book. The one with green eyes.
"Sombra, but thats, impossible. you were destroyed!" Celestia said.
"You can never destroy a shadow." this 'sombra' replied. "anyway, MINIONS, CHARGE!!!!" and the wave surged forward.
"CHARGE!!!" Shining armor shouted as the horde came closer.
The battle still raged. it was intensifying.
"guys! gather up!" Twi shouted. Before that could happen, squads of shadow creatures surrounded them. Spliting them up farther. until the group surrounding pinky was near him. She was doing everything she could but couldnt escape. There was one left near her. it grabbed her and threw her towards the cliff. There was a snap and Pinky yelled in pain. "MY LEG!"
"PINKY!" Jason heard Twi but none of them could reach her the it picked her up again. Pinky had a face of pure fear. It threw her over the edge and she screamed.
"NO!!" Jason and the others yelled simultaniously. Jason jumped out of the tree and hit the creature with the a branch and jumped over the cliff after pinky. No thought went into this plan. in fact he didnt have a plan. he could hear Sombra ordering a retreat.
Jason reached out "grab on." he yelled through the wind of their fall. She reached his hand. He held on as he shot his grappel gun. They zipped upward. he pushed off the wall and shot up again. he had to reapeat this process multiple times until the hook grabbed on the tree. He then grabbed the ledge and pulled himself over, with pinky in tow. he stood up and saw Twilight with a worried look then a flash and he fell over on the ground.
His head tilted. He saw Fluttershy and then he blacked out.
