I think it'd be fun to eventually continue this c: I say that a lot, don't I? Anyway, I dunno why this exists but here it is. The Fourth Doctor and Donna.
"Look, why'd you call me out here in the middle of the night?" Donna yawned widely, shouldering the large video camera. She'd hurried out of the house so fast, since she was late, that she'd forgotten she was wearing pamajas. The slightly too long pants dragged a bit over the gravel of the mall parking lot.
"Donna, I have to show you something!" The wild haired man dubbed "Four" grinned at her, and gestured her forward. "Are you taping?"
"'Course," Donna said, mashing a button on the large appliance. A red light glowed in the corner.
"What you're about to see," Four said into the camera, "is the greatest scientific leap mankind has ever seen."
Donna blinked sleepily, only half listening to Four's monologue. Eventually, he pressed a button on a small remote he held. The large Mack truck sitting in the parking lot opened. Four's dog, K-9, barked loudly at it.
Intrigued, Donna hefted the camera and hurried over to the back of the truck. It the darkness of night, it was impossible to see inside. A large object started rolling down a ramp on the end.
Donna snorted. "I know ya like cars, Four, but a Delorean isn't exactly a scientific leap!"
Four flung his scarf over his shoulder indignantly. "This is so much more than a Delorean, Donna. Watch." He called to K-9, who happily followed him over to the car and dutifully jumped inside when he held the door open.
He held up a watch attached to K-9's collar. "These two are exactly synchronized," he explained, holding up his own watch for Donna's and the camera's benefit. Indeed they were exact, to the millisecond.
He closed K-9 in, then picked up another remote and started remotely controlling the car. "Eighty-eight miles per hour," he said, getting the car up to outrageous speeds for a dog driver in a mall parking lot. Donna pointed the camera at the car but watched the remote speedometer on the control. Eighty seven, eighty eight …
A flash made her look up. There, where the car had been, were two streaks of fire over burnt rubber marks and absolutely no Delorean.
"Four!" cried Donna, nearly dropping the camera. "You've killed K-9!"
Four chuckled. "No, I haven't."
"So wha' the hell did you do?!"
"You'll see." Four checked his watch and after a moment, he said, "Alright. Just - move, Donna!"
Donna jumped out of the way just in time for the Delorean to suddenly drive over where she'd just been at eighty-eight miles per hour. Four grinned and carefully popped open the door to the car. "Donna! Come see!"
She complied, bringing the camera over. Four gleefully held up K-9's watch - which was now a minute behind Four's. "He skipped over the minute!" said Four happily. "K-9 is a time traveler!"
"Time travel?" Donna drew back, startled. "Bloody hell."
"Look, here's my invention." He pointed inside the car, a little bit towards the back, where a strange y-shaped light pulsed. "That makes time travel possible. I thought of calling it the flex capacitor. But … " He shrugged. "I like TARDIS better."
"TARDIS? Wha's tha' mean?"
"I don't know!" He grinned. "Isn't it brilliant?"
