Candis Blaire Frost was tired. Tired of being the geeky, look-alike sister of the perfect and popular Jazmyn Valor White.
She was tired of being 13, she tired of being the younger sister, tired of being smart, unnoticed, strange, funny looking, flat chested, misunderstood, she was tired of it all.
Her mother Emma Frost says she is beautiful, her father, who hasn't seen her in 8 years, says she's beautiful, and she started to believe it until Jazmyn assured her that she was still her-self, ugliness and all.
She's been push around, bullied even teased, beaten up, and made fun of . She's been through it all
And now she's tired. That's it no more. It's time for a New Beginning.
She had long stringy hair, which her mother swears makes her different, but she doesn't want to be different
She had glasses, she swore were a inch thick, her friend says that they are two
She had pimples all over her face, Jazmyn thinks they make her face look like pepperoni pizza
She wore denim overalls and she was short, people thought she was in 6th grade and not 10th
She never talked and always studied, and even she thinks she is boring
But now she is tired of long hair, thick glasses, pimples, overalls, being quiet, and always studding
Now it is time for a new beginning
One day after school, science club, chess practice, and a SADD meeting she hit the mall and hard
She has no clue what she is doing, but she's smart she'll figure it out
She was searching for something, she doesn't know what, but she'll learn it
She looking for that place, she doesn't know where, but she'll find it
It's time for a new beginning
She cut her hair up to the chin with a bang, her mother will flip, but she doesn't care. This can be a new beginning
She exchanged her glasses for contacts. They make her eyes dry, but she doesn't care, this could be a new beginning
She bought Proactive with money saved for a new microscope she badly needed, but she doesn't care this should be a new beginning
She traded her overalls for cute tops and hot jean shorts, skirts, capris, and pants. Some of them were a little tight or short or uncomfortable, but she doesn't care this will be a new beginning
She became more social it lowered her grades, but she doesn't care this is a new beginning
Her mother is angry but respects her choices, her sister is jealous and hates her, even more her old friend, the only one she kind of had, envies her, but the popular kids love her
But she doesn't love herself
Maybe it's time for a new New Beginning
