Running from the Inevitable.
Welcome to my new story, Running From The Inevitable. It is a one shot, but again, if you like it, I will continue.
She ran. She didn't know where she was going. She didn't notice the rain pouring around her. All she could do was get away from that place as fast as possible. Panting, she stopped in a forest, where she collapsed, clutching a stitch in her side. She had lost his love, and if she stayed there she would lose the baby. Losing the baby would sign her death warrant. She had to keep her and her unborn child safe. Regaining breath, she began to think about where she was going to go. Would she go to Hatfield to pick up her daughter? "Yes." she said out loud to nobody,"That's what I'll do." She picked herself up, and ran back to the stables. Tacking up her beautiful white horse, she glanced at the palace, wondering if it would be the last time she saw it.
She entered Hatfield, the guards bowing and mumbling, "Your Majesty." She continued to walk toward her daughters chambers. Upon entering, the ladies curtsied respectfully. One in particular caught her eye. "Ladies, Elizabeth and I will be going for a trip. There is no need to pack her clothes or jewels, there will be some waiting." They curtsied again, "Your Majesty." They muttered. "I also require Lady Mary to come along for the trip, to assist us." Lady Mary raised her head, and scowled at her, who seemed not to notice.
Once outside, and Mary had borrowed a horse, and had Elizabeth safely in her arms, she started to speak. "Mary," Mary continued to look away, "I have brought you here as a servant, nothing more, but if you wish, I'm sure we can find a way to be friends." Mary looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "If it pleases your majesty." She smiled, "It would please me very much Mary. But what is my name?" Mary looked at her and grinned before saying, "OK, if it pleases you, Anne." They both laughed, and started to canter out of Hatfield.
A while later, something struck Mary as odd. "Anne?" she said turning her head to look at her. "Hm?" She replied, clearly on another planet. "Where are we actually going?" That brought Anne back to Earth with a bump. She waited a while before answering, "That, I'm not sure of." When Mary looked confused, Anne continued, "As far away as possible." "Why?" said Mary. "I have lost his love Mary, and if I stay there with the Seymour wench, I will lose the baby. I will be as good as dead." Mary looked shocked, "He wouldn't do that! He tore the kingdom apart for you! He waited seven years for you! Why would he cast you off for that Seymour bitch?" Mary realised what she just said and turned red. They slowed their horses to a halt as Anne said, "I thought you loved her and hated me, not the other way around." Still looking at the ground, Mary said, "I guess I hated you at the beginning, because of what you did to me and my mother, but I stopped hating you when I got a beautiful sister, and now I will probably get a handsome brother." Anne smiled and looked down at her stomach, "Yes you will." she replied, dismounting her horse. Mary looked worried as she dismounted hers, still holding Elizabeth. "Should you still be riding?" Mary asked, eyeing her ever growing stomach. Anne laughed, "Mary, I'm only 4 months! I'll be fine until 7 months." Her face fell as she said, "Anyway, what choice do I have? I'm running. Running from the inevitable."
