A/N: My first fic with poetry, though I actually write a lot of it, but I hope you like it anyhow… R&R!

Hermione watched out her kitchen window as Ron and Harry left to find the horcruxes. She wanted so much to go with them, and so did they, but her parents and the Weaslys had wanted to keep her safe. She watched as Ron turned and blew her a kiss from the garden path. He mouthed I'll be back, Hermione. Hermione tried not to cry while she watched him go. What if she

never saw him again?

Every second away from you

Is a second I have lost

And all the time I miss you

Is a penny that it costs

Ron looked at Hermione, who was sadly watching him from the window. He tried his hardest to be strong for her. He could not let her see him brake down because then she might not be brave. He wished she was going with him, but was also slightly relieved at the knowledge she at least would be safe. But he still missed her nonetheless.

Every minute I'm not with you

Is a minute I have lost

And all the time I miss you

Is a nickel that it costs

As the two of them looked at each other and saw the sorrow and pain in each others' eyes, a bond was formed between them, and they knew everything would be alright. Ron was still sad to leave Hermione, the only girl he had ever truly loved, but he knew that, thinking of her, he would one day be able to return home, even if Harry did not return with him… Ron wouldn't die in the battle. Hermione would keep his will stronger than anything else in the world, and their love alone would keep Voldemort from destroying him.

Every hour I can't see you

Is an hour I have lost

And all the time I miss you

Is a dime that it all costs.

Hermione looked on as Harry turned around to see where Ron had gotten to, but Ron didn't seem to notice. He was to absorbed in Hermione's sad face. "Ron…Ron!…RON!" Harry tried three times to get his attention, before Ron actually looked.

"Oh, sorry, mate… just saying good-bye."

Harry nodded; he knew that Ron loved Hermione, and it was hard for both of them to let Ron leave, and so he waited for them to finish in silence.

Every day that we're apart

Is a day that I have lost

And all the time I miss you

Is a quarter that it costs.

Hermione turned her head slightly, as not to let Ron see the tear slide down her cheek. Ron looked at her as she turned away, and he could tell that she was crying, but he didn't let her know he could tell, for fear of crying himself. Harry stood patiently at the end of the hedge. He would miss Hermione too, but not nearly as much as Ron would. He gave them time to be together, even if they weren't really that close by.

Every week that I can't hear you

Is a week that I have lost

And all the time I miss you

Is a dollar that it costs.

So don't you see I need you

All the time I am alive

And whenever you're not with me

It costs how much we've lost…

I love you, Hermione. Mouthed Ron.

I love you too, Ron… please come back when he's gone.

I will, Hermione. Because I love you so much…I'll come back.
