Sasuke walked into to Uchiha district, which now was mostly ruble and ash, memories of his childhood flooding through him. It had been four long years since he had stood in the village hidden in the leaves, and six years since he had stood in the very spot he stood at that moment. The moon's rays illuminating his figure, a drizzle fell from the night sky, dampening his skin and clothing. Sasuke's mind flashed to his friend's he had left behind to seek out the revenge that had, in the end, left him angrier than before he had carried out the deed. Cate, his best friend who had pleaded with him not to go, and naruto, who was like a brother to him. They were the closest thing to family he had left. Gaiden, by blood was an uchiha. However upon entering marriage with the leader of the fierce Fuji clan, had taken the name of Fuji. He was not family, but in the sense, he was the closest thing to blood. He thought to himself maybe I should try to patch things up with him. Footsteps behind him broke his concentration. Turning around a soft hand slapped him, turning his head to the side. The air around him smelled of the forest of of a distinct smell he would never forget. Cate he said to himself. He looked up, to see cate standing there, her face twisten in anger, and hurt. She slapped him again, and again, until she was gasping for air. Sasuke's face burned from each strike, but he stood there looking at her. "Why……. Why did you leave when I asked you not to?!" she asked as a tear welled up in her left eye. Sasuke looked at the ground, his chest hurt; it felt as if his heart could fall out at any moment. "I….. don't know" was all he could muster to say. She raised her hand to strike him again, anger flooding her face again, but lowered it to her side. Taking a deep breath, she stalked away. As she ran, sasuke fell to the ground, a tear began rolling down his cheek.
