I run out through the pouring rain
I just need to release the pain
I finally slow down
Well away from the crowd
I take the knife in my hand
Admiring the shine like it's my only friend
I press it to my skin
And feel the blood erupt from within
I close my eyes
And see your face
Soon I'll be gone
Without a trace
I put the knife away
My mind slipping a stray
I see your face laughing at me
But you're all I want to see
Tears pour from my eyes
To hold them back I do try
I take the knife back out again
And press it to my wrist to release the strain
I shut my eyes tight
And see your face
Like it's telling me "It's alright."
I press the blade into my skin
Then press it deeper in
I finger twitches back
I open my eyes
But all I see is black
(Black, black, black. . . .)
