The familiar sense of rematerialization swept over the Guardian, as his feet touched the surface. The Vanguard had sent him to check out some strange readings on Phobos. The moon had become Hive territory after the attack on the Cabal; and it seemed that the new occupants were up to something.

The first thing the Guardian noticed was that rather than a Cabal fortress Ike the last time, he had landed next to a smaller version of the Hellmouth. He began to move towards it, when he heard a loud bang coming from the pit.

"I'm getting some very powerful readings from down there." Ghost informed him, he began to descend into the pit.

That didn't sound good. The last time Ghost said that, Oryx showed up and nearly killed the Guardian.

As he reached the bottom of the pit, the Guardian noticed that there was a large glowing crystal in the center of the room. As he approached it the room began to shake, and a loud groaning sound echoed across the room. Suddenly a sound like a gunshot went off, as the crystal began to crack and shift. Revealing a massive ogre larger than Golgoroth. It was covered in bits of Cabal armor with spikes, made of the crystal, jutting out across its back and arms.

The monster roared, as the Guardian dove behind some nearby rocks. The monster swung its arm, spikes dislodging and be flung towards the rock. The Guardian ran, barely escaping the volley, as he pulled out his sidearm and fired at the monster. The monster simply roared once again, as the bullets bounced harmlessly off its armor. It than began to hurl more spikes at the Guardian, Who continued to fire upon the monster, while dodging the crystals. Until a shard knocked the gun out of his hand, and pierced his shoulder. He then drew his auto rifle with his off-hand, and began firing wildly at the monster.

Through a stroke of luck, a bullet pierced the monster's eye, causing it to clutch at the wound. It then began to tear off the armor around its eye, and throw them at the walls.

The Guardian saw his chance and took aim, firing at the beast's other eye. Directly hitting his target , he began to fire at the now vulnerable spots on the ogre's face. Causing the ogre to fall backwards, as the bullets ripped holes through its head.

As the ogre took its last breath, the Guardian tensed hearing the familiar sound of Thrall, rapidly approaching. The Guardian drew his Arc-blade, as dozens of thrall charged out of the hole where the crystal was before. The Guardian used his uninjured hand to fend off the Thrall, while quickly ascending out of the pit.

When he was nearing the top, he felt himself begin to be pulled back by a Thrall that grabbed his leg. Loosing his grip on his sword, he watched it plummet; before kicking the Thrall off of his leg. As he pulled himself over the lip of the pit, he felt himself Transmat into the cockpit of his ship, as hundreds of Thrall spilled over where he had been moments before.

As the Guardian began to relax, the familiar voice of Cayde-6 came over the com.

"So, how'd it go?"
