Echoes of love

-or lack there of-

It hurt. Kyle hurts. He hurt Kyle….

The person the Jew thought never would….

'I shouldn't have done that….What I did' He thought bitterly eyes puffy from crying.

Kyle had asked if he could tell Stan Marsh something.

Stanley Fucking Marsh had said: "Sure!" with the grin that made Kyle heart melt.

Kyle sighed and asked that things wouldn't change right? Stan gave a puzzled look but said: "nothing can split us, dude!"

That's right; encourage the love sick fool….

The fool who locked himself away. The Fool who believe those words. The fool who smiled and continued…

"I think I love you man." The smaller boy proclaimed, and then turned shy.

"Love you too, you're my super best friend!" the ebony haired boy said, not getting what Kyle had meant.

"No Stan not like that, like-"he stopped himself by leaning over and kissing his friend.

"DUDE!" Stan hissed pushing him away. "What the fuck I have a girlfriend!"

Kyle eyes widened when he realized he screwed up. Stan bellowed a little more before Kyle jumped up, and with teary eyes fled from the house that thought of as a second home.

Once he was home he locked himself away both physically and mentally. He became a robot.

-A few weeks later-

Stan was walking home with Wendy, Katt, Kenny and Lynnette. He briefly stared at the small green house that belonged to his old friend, Kyle.

Kyle Broflovski. The boy he once was basically joined to the hip with.

At least to that 'fight'….After that the small red haired Jewish boy wasn't seen.

Not at school….

Not at the arcade…

Not at stark's pond…

No where……

He simply disappeared. Katt had once gone over to the house but the look she came back with both scared and angered Stan for some reason. No one pressed the young auburn into spilling, but Stan wanted to know.

Know what she saw….

Shaking his head he turned back to his girlfriend, Wendy and the others as a shot of a gun rang out loud. They all flinched at the earsplitting noise…That is all but Katt.

The lime eyed girl instantly dropped her belongings and rushed back to the house the small group just past….Kyle's house…..

"KYLE!!!!" Her scream ripped loose as she broke the door. After the rest of the group recovered from the gunshot, they too rushed toward the house.

Up stairs, Stan stood mouth gaping open at the sight before him. Katt was covered in blood as she worked hard trying to revive the boy on the ground. The room was splattered with crimson sorrow; his sheets soaked in the crying wound's tears. Lynnette quickly fumbled her phone and call for an ambulance.

"Ky Don't die…."Katt begged, a little like Kyle had done to Christophe during the war. "Please don't you promised!"

'Promised?' Stan thought' so that was why she had that look…'

It made sense: she felt guilty, guilty for not being able to tell….

'What have I done?!' Stan screamed in his head, realizing that he had caused the auburn haired girl's guilt and the now lifeless boy's sorrow. His entire fault…

That his best friend's light had gone dark.

A.N.: Sad huh? ….OH well!
