It was snowing, but the bitter feeling of the cold didnt even register. Her thoughts still swimming on the fact that a few hours ago the thing she fear most was confirmed. It wasnt the fact that the test came out positive. It wasnt even the fact that she'll be deteriorating devastatingly slow and be come destructive. It was that she was alone and she doesnt even have anyone to share her hurt and loneliness. The drinking and the one night stands were just her blanket, a protection so no one can see how vulnereable she really was. One person though saw through it all. Like thirteen, Cameron had her blanket,Chase, but she knew that what Chase offered wasnt enough. He stiffled her, she felt suffocated being under the blanket too long. The sheets wrapped & tangled around her constricted her she wanted freedom and at the same time comfort.
As Cameron was charting she glimpsed outside and was surprised to see thirteen. She dropped her pen and grabbed a blanket and walked towards thirteen. Her heart was beating fast her interaction with the internist was limited and far in between. She walked slowly and placed a hand on Remy's shoulder squeezed gently as to not startle her. Thirteen felt warmth spread through out her body as she felt a hand and sqeeze on her shoulder. She slowly cocked her head to see who had invaded her solitude. Remy's eyes went back to the spot where she had been staring off to, to avoid Allison's questioning Green eyes. Remy's eyes watered she didn't want Cameron to see her so weak and helpless.
Cameron didnt remove her hand and remembered how her breath hitched the first time she saw Thirteen.
Cameron moved her hand as she moved in front of Thirteen. Remy shivered as the hand moved, feeling the coldness. Allison kneeled in front of her caressing her face. Remy closed her eyes and a few tears fell from her eyes. Thumbing the tears Cameron wrapped the blanket around Remy's shoulders.
Pulling the blanket towards her to closing the gap between them. Remy's lips tingled and felt the warmth come back to her body. Allison tangled with Remy's hair as she deepned the kiss. Remy felt like she had just gulped a mouthful of air after being submerged under water for a long time.
Cameron stood and held out her hand to Remy waiting with a tiny smile. Remy's shoulder shook as tears leaked from her eyes before flinging herself to Cameron's embrace. Cameron held her close cooing comforting words into her ears while rubbing her back. Remy buried her face on the crook of Allison's neck kissing and nuzzling it, try to find more comfort. Allison smiled and kissed her head " I'll be here from now on," Allison whispered and squeezed her. Remy's eyes watered and was about to say something but Allison cut her off by kissing her with so much passion Remy's fears were vanished. Allison pulled away and beamed at her,"Always have and will Remy," was all Allison said then pulled them inside to warm up.
