A/N: It's nearly midnight here and I am supposed to be sleeping. But the point is I am in a bit angsty mood right now. That is why I had to put up this story. I couldn't put something with long chapters so that is why a short one.

This story holds a different sentiment to me. This was the first ever thing I wrote that was a bit longer than a head canon. This basically is my first ever fanfic. But I am posting it now, when the time is right. When I am downcast reading and writing angsty stuff helps me a bit. Anyway here with the hopefully long-enough one-shot.

I still miss you

It turned out that after twenty years of the war, George returned to the castle to just refresh his memories about his teenage years there. But unable to bear the fact that he was not with his twin, he went towards the forbidden forest. Then as is it was by some magic all the leaves cleared of the ground and George looked at a stone. He just held it in his hand and started crying with the memories of Fred. Just as he did this, a human figure appeared, but it was not human. But all its features were human. And the face, it resembled George, but with both the ears intact. "Fred" George screamed and tried to hug him. But being unable to touch him he cried even harder. His thoughts were expressed by Fred in words, "So near, yet so far."

Fred came near him and asked, "Hey Georgie, how are you feeling?" George through his tear-filled eyes told him, "Saint like."

Fred gave him a watery chuckle and told him some words of comfort. His appearance started to seize, so he quickly told George, "Look after Angie well." George nodded. "And Roxanne and- and Fred too." George cried harder than ever.

Then Fred said, "I'm always near you, watching you. So don't cry thinking that I'm not near you." And Fred disappeared. He was nowhere. George knew it then, even if he couldn't see Fred, Fred was always near him. He knew that Fred missed him the same way he missed Fred.

A/N: There done. I feel a bit better. I know there could be many things as to why the resurrection stone was still there or why it happened 20 years after the war. My frank answer, 'I don't know!' I just was really really new to the world of fan fiction when I wrote this. And I did not want to change anything when I posted it. And I haven't except the grammar bits.

Anyway read and review to make me feel even more better. Sorry if I have been rambling and being stupid.
