Natalia and Calleigh that seems to be the only gossip that floats around the lab these days and more often than not the gossip that goes around is simple things, like what they are wearing if, they talked that day or whether or not they are dating anyone. For some reason the entire lab is obsessed with them, but they don't see it.
They don't see how their eyes light up when they spot one another, how they always goes out of their at some point in the day to seek each other out and sometimes we have those days when they don't see each other at all and on those days you can put money down that at some point they are going to snap and some unsuspecting lab tech, saying that though it funny to watch as they lay into them because knowing Calleigh and Natalia the person who gets the brunt of their anger is someone who deserves it.
They're both gentle women who would do anything for their friends and that bleeds through into their work, the compassion they have for victims and their families astounds me every time, the way they can put someone at ease and slowly talk them around, getting all the possible details from them without making them feel as if they are being interrogated, makes me completely in awe of them. The work they do in the lab, they are so clean and efficient in how they do it and always it's done by the book, making the case they are working on as airtight as possible so if and when it does go to court their competence can't be picked apart and that the perpetrator doesn't walk free.
I can freely admit that when I first started working here at the crime lab, I was a little bit in love with Calleigh. She took me under her wing and made sure that I felt welcome and she took an interest me, whereas others who won't be named thought of me as a poor substitute for Speedle. Calleigh never made me feel that way, its kinda hard not fall just a little bit in love with her and I challenge anyone who thinks they can resist her to just spend an hour with her and see how far they don't fall in love with her. She's got one of those personalities that draw you in and you know instinctively that you will always be safe with her; after all she's probably got the biggest gun collection in the state.
Then not even 8 months later Natalia walks in, well rather me and Calleigh walk in off the elevator and are greeted by an insanely beautiful woman and the lab she had design for us, that's a good 100 points in my book before she's even opened her mouth. From the first moment their eyes met, you could see sparks firing between them.
Now I know I definitely had a little crush on Natalia, I think everyone in the lab knew that, but when she got together with Delko I left it alone and concentrated on my work.
What most people don't know about me is I'm very nosy and I can't help it if someone is having a conversation that don't want anyone to hear, more than likely I'm listening in and that's how I got my first inkling that something more than a professional relationship between these two ladies. You can't go into the locker room and be whispering into your cell and not expect someone to eavesdrop on you, it's locker room etiquette, well for me anyway.
They don't know that I know about them, I think I'm probably one of only two people who do, the other being H of course, nothing gets past that man and his one liners.
Truth of the matter is it doesn't bother me, their happy together, happier than I've seen either of them in a long time and I'm happy for them and if anyone makes trouble for them, I will be one of the first there defending them. Cause let's face Delko won't back down without a fight where Calleigh is concerned and the fact that he has lost her to another woman is gonna bruise his ego even more.
