Disclaimer: I do not own Sweeney Todd or the associated characters.

I'm Nellie tried her best to act normal. Yet, she hadn't been- not for weeks. The little encounters that had been going on took effect. It was immoral to continue doing what she did with Benjamin. He had a wife, a beautiful daughter. Nellie had nothing, aside from the engagement to an Albert Lovett hanging over her head.

He was a gentleman to her, but she couldn't help it- she would never love Albert. He had a generous amount of money, bringing her a rose every evening, though he had since courted her, and they were to be married. Albert was a sweet man, and his side of the family expected their bloodline to expand, to give him an heir, and maybe more. Nellie was not totally against having children. In fact, she was happy to be given the chance to be a mother.

Maybe she could love Albert, but not in the way she loved Mr. Barker. The neighbors upstairs knew not of her struggle. Not that it would matter to them. Their perfect family, eternal love, endless happiness.

She sat crying. They went to the market today, and she was stuck here.

Her shop door was slammed open and the blonde haired girl barged in, holding a baby Johanna in her arms. "Eleanor, it's Ben! They just took him from the market!" Nellie looked up, shocked. Lucy was sobbing now, while Nellie rubbed her tear-stained face and went to comfort her.

OOOOOOO

It had been six months since Benjamin Barker had been taken. Six months since she had married Albert, and five months since dear Lucy had all but disappeared, taking her little girl with her.

It was today that she finally said hello to her own little girl. Violet, she named her, because Violet's reminded her of forget-me-nots, and she was quite sure Mr. Barker was her father. She would never forget Benjamin

Life flew by, faster than she thought. Albert passed when Violet was six, leaving Mrs. Lovett a widow to take care of her daughter, her only child. It was rough, struggling with the shop, and without Albert, who she had grown attached to. He help raised Voilet, she called him father. It had been close to fifteen years since the Barker family had lived there.

The shop bell dinged. Mrs. Lovett rushed to him. "Haven't seen a customer for weeks. Would you like a pie, perhaps?"

"I was actually thinking about the room upstairs..."

"Of course! Let me just call Violet... Violet? Darling, please come in here!"

"So would you like to see it, Mr...?"

"Sweeney. Sweeney Todd. And I'll take it now."

Violet walked into the room slowly, but not scared or uneasy.

"Hello sir. Here's the key."

"Do I know you?" Mr. Todd said darkly.

Nellie smiled. "Everyone who visits should. She helps me with the little customers I can get."

"She looks not much like you, Mrs. Lovett."

"I agree. She definitely looks more like her father."

"I could tell."

Nellie paused and stared at him blankly.

"What was that?" She said nervously.

"I am saying, Mrs. Lovett, she looks like... Benjamin Barker. A good friend of mine."

Author's Note: This was honestly a rushed story. I had to write/ publish it before 12 AM. I hope you liked it, and if you did, review if you like. It's always helpful to know your opinion!
