A/N: Hey all I wrote this for ash-luvgirl02's Parent/Child competition. This does however fit into all my other works in my Headcanon.

As usual I own none of what you recognize. Thank you to JKR for giving all of us this sandbox in which to play.

MUDBUG!

Bill Weasley stands before the mirror in his study straightening out his robes and fidgeting with his tie. 'Well that's about as good as it's gonna get.' He tells himself looking at his reflection. His face is lined with age now as well as the ever present scars. He paces nervously around his study finally ending up standing behind his desk. He picks up a small dark brown paperweight from it's place on honor on his desk.

-ooo-

Papa! I made you a present!" A little four year old Victoire comes running into the study covered head to toe in a dark brown mud. Her pale blonde hair is caked in mud as is her face. Only her pale blue eyes can be seen.

"Whoa there!" A much younger Bill says. "Did you leave any mud in the garden?" He laughs picking her up in a hug.

"I made this for you." The little girl says holding out a small flat piece of mud with a tiny hand print in it.

"Well thank you." Bill says. "Did you want me to make it so I can keep it?"

The little girl nods her head shaking mud all over Bill's robes.

"O.K." Bills says setting the piece of mud on the desk and removing his wand from his pocket. He concentrates for a moment and casts a spell transforming the mud into stone and placing a glaze on it.

"There now I can keep it forever." Bill says while blowing a raspberry on the little girl's muddy cheek causing her to squeal with laughter.

"Let's get you in the bath before your mother sees you. You little mudbug!" Bill says opening the door to his study with Victoire in his arms.

"MUDBUG! MUDBUG!" Victoire squeals, hopping up and down in Bill's arms flinging mud everywhere.

-ooo-

"You ready Dad?" A young boy of fourteen with with strawberry blonde hair and pale, almost silver, blue eyes asks. "Mom says they are just about ready for us."

"Be there in a second Louis," Bill answers. He puts the paperweight in his pocket and leaves the office.

He enters the kitchen where the couples are partnered up and waiting their turn to leave through the backdoor and walk into the garden.

Bill looks at Victoire standing next to him and his breath catches. Every image and memory of his little girl runs through his head not the least of which is one of his little mud covered girl laughing and reaching up to him.

"Papa? It's time." Victoire says pulling him out of his memories. As they walk out the door Victoire tries to quicken the pace.

"Vic," Bill whispers, "I know you want to sprint to him but trust me, take a few moments and enjoy this."

The couple slowly proceeds down the flower strewn path to an altar set up in the garden. There is a large crowd and all eyes are on Victoire. Bill can feel the power of Victoire's veela blood work its magic on the crowd. Everyone in attendance is speechless.

They approach the altar where, in everyone's estimates the luckiest man in the world stands along side his godfather who is also his best man. The young man is barely keeping his emotions in check. His hair has changed colors several times just since his future bride had started her procession.

Bill and Victoire finally reach the nervous young man. Bill takes Victoire's hand and looks in her eyes.

"Thank you for making an old wolf happy. I love you, Mudbug." He says placing her hand in the hand of the young man.

"I love you too Papa." She says wiping a tear from his scarred cheek with her free hand.

Bill turns and takes his place beside his wife who is already crying. He places his arm around his wife, while putting his hand in his pocket as if to reassure himself that the young woman who is starting her own life in front of him still is and would always be his Mudbug.
