Just like my other story Hurting, this has a deeper meaning as well.
Murdoc was currently sitting on the floor in his room tugging at his hair. His head and throat hurt from screaming so loudly. He glared daggers at her.
"Why won't you just leave me alone?"
She, who sat on his bed, chuckled. "When have I ever left you alone? I've been with you since day one."
"You can start by leaving today and never coming back!" The bassist hissed at her.
She sighed. "You know you don't mean that~."
"Yes I do. I fucking hate you."
"I hate you too."
"Then why don't you leave me alone?!" He exhaled. "Whenever you're around you cause me misery. Piss of already! I've had enough of your shit growing up. You make life more difficult than it already is."
She smirked. "Looks as if I'm doing my job well."
Murdoc turned so that his back was to her. "I swear to Satan, if you don't leave me alone…" He gripped his hair tighter to refrain from hitting her. That was the last thing he wanted to do.
"Admit it; without me, half of your personality wouldn't be. I complete you, and you fucking know it."
"With you, you make me even more unpleasant to be around. For years, you've controlled me by fucking whispering in my ear, telling me to act more of an ass, and made me push away potential mates."
"You can always tune me out with those little pills."
"That's the fucking point; I don't want to take them! They can go to Hell, and so can you."
"But, if I go to Hell, you do too. Because I am you. Without me, you're nothing."
Murdoc paused before speaking. "Bullshit."
"No," She said. "It's the truth." Smugly, she added. "You need me."
"False."
"I'm meant for you, and you're meant for me."
"False."
"How many times are you going to call 'false' on truth?"
"As many times as I have to until you die." He growled.
"I'm going to be the death of you."
"Not unless I kill you first."
"Like I said earlier; I die, you die."
"You know, I can easily get rid of you any day now…"
"But you don't; you know I fill out the little holes in your being." She laughed. "It's impossible to rid yourself of me anyhow."
Murdoc said nothing. She continued. "I need you…"
"You just use me as a host…"
"You need me…"
A sigh. "Yes and no."
"You secretly love me."
"You're a selfish lover."
"That doesn't stop you from loving me and dealing with me, instead of using alternatives to tone me down."
Another sighed. He knew she had a point there. "My life would be so much easier without you." The bassist shook his head slowly. "You rot my life, then leave me to clean up."
"But you enjoy it."
"No; you enjoy it. I just force myself to clean up your mess because I have to."
"You're easy to read, you know that?"
"I agree the same for you."
"It gets boring after a while."
"You too... You and your erratic ways."
"I may seem erratic, but I plan my attacks accordingly to ensure the most damage."
"I know." He rubbed his temples.
"Goodbye for now, Murdoc." She got up and exited out of his room. She came back a few seconds later. "By the way, you have pissed band members to explain why you snapped and called them names." Then she was gone.
Murdoc sighed. "And here I go; off to clean her mess…"
