Starfire woke up with a start. She looked around her bright, large, pink room and for a moment was confused as to where she was. Then she remembered. She was a Titan. She saved people, and healed them. They liked her, and didn't hate her. She had friends, not enemies. Fans, not Gordanians. She lived in Titans Tower located in Jump City, not the citadel as a slave. She quickly got up and dressed, getting ready for the day. She looked at the time seeing it was only 7:30 a.m. Way earlier than normal. See everyone thought that Beast Boy was always the last one to rise when in truth it was Starfire. BB did some hardcore training each morning after he woke up which is why he was always late to the common room. As she walked through the hallways she smiled. Time for a new day and to put on her mask. No one knew what they did to her when she was captured; just that she was going to be a slave. She was okay with that though. She didn't want to worry her friends. As she got nearer to the common room she heard a foreign voice, she quickly lit up her star bolts as she cautiously made her way closer...the voice sounded like it was...singing? She dropped her arms in confusion and stopped to listen.

"Kanak me zhav ande gava, duj-trin shela rodava, kanak phirav pe vulyici, e baxtori manca si" She gasped. It sounded almost like...Robin? She quietly sunk into the common room to check out who was singing and saw that her guess was indeed true. Robin had his back turned to her and was making waffles and tea which she assumed was for Raven. She closed her eyes and just sat there and listened to him as he continued to sing.

"Shukar san, shukar si tyire jakha, vash tuke kothe mukhlem mura da! Shukar san, shukar si tyire jakha, vash tuke kothe mukhlem mura da" He stopped singing for a bit and turned around to face her. She blushed and knew she was caught red handed.

"Um... Hello friend Robin"

"Hey Star. What's up?" She looked up at him and cautiously asked,

"You are not mad?" He looked down at the cup of tea and sighed.

"No. You would find out eventually."

"Find out what Robin? I am afraid I do not understand." He looked at her and shook his head laughing, "That was a song my mother used to sing to me." Star gasped, Robin never told them of his back story; they just knew he had worked with Batman.

"I am most sorry friend, I should not have intruded"

"It's cool Star. It's about time someone knew of my heritage. I was raised in Europe as part of a traveling circus. I'm a gypsy." He finished bitterly. Starfire looked at him confused,

"But, Robin, is being a gypsy bad? You seem to be angry about it." He looked at her in shock,

"Bad? I don't think it is. I have been all over the globe performing for kings and queens. However, all over Europe we are seen as...well...Tamaranians." Star looked at him saddened and grasped his hand in comfort.

"I am most sorry Robin. I understand what it is like." Robin looked at her and smiled sadly,

"Yeah," and he went back to singing his gypsy song only stopping when the door opened and Raven and Cyborg came in talking about his "baby". An hour passed and BB came in late as always and started to argue the tofu vs. meat discussion with Cy. As Starfire looked out over all of them from her seat at the breakfast bar, she smiled. Robin saw her looking and also smiled. It was a broken family, but still a family, and they may not know everything about each other, but they didn't have to. Robin continued to hum his little song as he and Star held hands knowing what it was like to be the rejects of the world. But then again, so were all of their friends and to them, being the reject was better than being normal.
