"It looks like Spike's fallen for the slayer," commented Dru.
"Indeed it does, what do you think we should do about that?" replied Angel.
"I think we should torture him slowly and painfully."
"Not a bad idea."
"Go ahead, torture me all you like. There's no reason to hang around this dreadful planet and you'd just be giving me one more reason to leave," said Spike.
"But William, don't you want to live in misery?"
"Yeah, about as much as I want a soul, and I told you not to call me William, it's Spike now."
"Oh dear, now he's all concerned about the William thing again. Why don't we just wait for the next slayer to come around and kill him? Don't you think that would be much more painful?"
"No, no. I'm sure Buffy left a stake hanging around somewhere, Help me find one. Or better yet, Dru honey, how would you like to suck the blood out of him?"
"Umm, sounds like fun, will you join me?"
"Naw I can't stand the taste of stale blood."
"Buffy's… gone?" stammered Willow.
"Yes," replied Giles solemnly.
"Just like that?" asked Xander.
"Poof, just like a vampire you said?" questioned Oz.
"That's what I said,"
"So we get a new slayer now?"
"No, this one will probably live by the rules, they will be choosing better this time after the last 2 mishaps with slayers. I probably won't be a watcher anymore, I don't think they like the way I watch."
"But it's not fair! We didn't even get to say goodbye!" cried Willow, as Oz tried to comfort her.
"One other thing I forgot to mention, the last thing she said before she died."
"What was it?"
"I wish we had."
"What did she mean by that?" asked Xander.
"Well considering she was in Spike's arms at the time"
"WHAT!?" they all cried in unison.
"Yeah I think they were…" he didn't get to finish his sentence.
"Hello, one and all, welcome to the slaughtering of a life time." Said Angel.
"Don't worry it won't hurt a bit," said Dru.
"Giles? How long does it take them to get a new slayer?"
"There should be one by now, I just hope she gets here in time."
"Where am I?" asked Buffy.
"In heaven," boomed a voice from behind.
"So this is what it's like?"
"It's whatever you imagine it to be, this is just the most common way people see it."
"Who am I talking to?"
"Who else would guide you to heaven, but your soul mate."
"But how can you be my soul mate if your in heaven, the man I truly cared for is still on earth."
"He might be, but his soul is right here," she turned around to see William with his arms open to her ready to love her again since they could not on earth.
"But how? I have so many questions that would like answers. Where do I find the answers?"
"There's only one person with all the answers."
"God?"
"Yes."
