Chapter 1

Rose's heart hurt. Her head hurt. Everything hurt. She stumbled along the hallway, calling out for the Doctor. "Doctor? Where are you?" Rose's foot connected with a little gap in the floor and she tripped, falling headfirst into a wall. Ouch.

She slowly got up, brushing the dirt off of her shirt. "Ouch, that hurt." She muttered, not happy with this so-called "Hospital". She started to walk again, her fingertips tracing the wall. Soon, her fingers hit a sign. Rose smiled. A big white sign said LEVEL 402. Rose's smile left her face. Oh joy, I'm on the bloody four hundredth and two floor!

"DOCTOR! I need you!" she called again, hopeful that he would hear her. Nope. Rose sighed, and heard a scream. She turned around and saw a beheaded body, standing behind her.

As soon as I get Rose, we're outta here, the Doctor thought. He was being chased by a-literally- bloody zombie. Hmm, why does remind me of the cat-nuns?

He turned a corner, hoping the zombie would lose chase. "ROSE!" he hollered. There was no answer, only groans from the zombie. He turned another corner, only to find a wall. "God, this bloody hospital!" He took out his sonic screwdriver and soniced the zombie.

The- girl, maybe? - fell to the ground. Ah, thank Rassilon, he thought. Now his main priority was Rose.

"Aaand that's one down, two to go!" Rose yelled as she socked another zombie in the stomach. Normally, she wouldn't be fighting, but she kind of had to improvise since the Doctor wasn't here.

The zombie stumbled and fell down. One of her gloves fell off, so she bent down to reach it and heard a growl. Without looking up, she bent around and punched it in the face.

"Ow!" she heard the Doctor say. She got up and smiled apologetically.

"Sorry, Doctor. I thought you were a zombie." Seeing his hurt face, she giggled. "Why were you growling anyway, huh?"

"I was pretending to be a zombie, but SOMEBODY punched me in the face." He said sarcastically. She raised an eyebrow, not believing him. "Okay, fine. I was testing out how my sonic worked, and it made me growl." At this, Rose raised her eyebrows even more.

The truth was he had thought he was hallucinating when saw Rose fighting, and accidentally made a slight noise in shock. But he was never going to say that. Rose didn't really seem like the type to fight. As she started chattering, he noticed she was different when he first invited her to the TARDIS. She was tougher maybe? He simply didn't know. Anyway, time to get back to the real world. "So, let's get back to the TARDIS, yeah?"

Rose simply nodded and joined her hand with the Doctor's. "So, where are we anyway? You never said." Oh, he knew what planet this was. Eriene. He knew this place well.

"Ah, well, it's the planet Eriene." He stated. Rose nodded her head, thinking her head.

"So am I gonna get zombie disease? Ha, that's funny." Rose joked. He smiled at her, happy already.

They had reached the TARDIS, but something was wrong. The Doctor felt Rose's hand slipping away. He looked over to her in alarm. "Rose? What are you doing?" he asked frantically. Rose didn't answer. She lifted her hands to find a foggy mist around them. She yelped with pain and disappeared.

The Doctor stared at the spot where she had been. "ROSE!"
