They'd been walking in silence for what seemed like hours but in reality was only about twenty minutes.
"Why'd you decide to come with me?" asked Allan breaking the silence.
For a long while Will kept going without an answer. They walked on in uncomfortable silence until Will finally spoke.
"Well now the king's back there's not much else for me in Nottingham is there? I mean I could continue on there, probably end up back in Locksley carving wood and that's fine it's just...
Will looked at Allan sadly and continued on.
"People get stuck. You know? I don't want to stay in Locksley for the rest of my life. And if I'm going to be stuck anywhere than who better to be stuck with than you?"
Allan was a little taken back at that last part and he smiled as he saw the blush creep across Will's face.
Around a year later Allan remembers these words and quietly stammers them out to Djaq. He wishes it was Will he went to but he wouldn't have been able to stomach the look on his face if Will noticed he left out the last part. (It was far too late for that now.)
