Thunder Rolls
The rain poured down hard. It was well past curfew and all the students were snuggled up by the warm fires in their common rooms. All but one. She sat under an old, twisted oak tree. She had been out for hours. It came to a point where she wasn't even cold anymore, just numb. She felt hollow inside. She stared out at the lake, it's usually calm surface rippled by the aggressive rainfall. The sound of thunder rumbled and a crack of lightning flashed across the grounds. She closed her eyes softly as the tears spilled over. She was soaked to the core. Her clothing clung heavily to her thin frame and her hair was plastered across her face.
With the rain, no one could tell she was crying. They just blended in with the water droplets that ran down her face.
Images ran through her mind. Images of her and him together, taking midnight strolls across the calm grounds, the moon reflecting off his flawless face. Their hands intertwined, hanging loosely between their bodies. The way he would pause when talking to her to stare at her before telling her how beautiful she was. She noticed the way her days seemed to revolve around him and his around her. His voice filled her head as she remembered how he had told her how much she actually meant to him. But that had probably all changed now. He probably hated her now.
More tears spilled over. How could something she cherished so badly end so quickly. They had been sitting in the common room and she had made a simple comment on how it bothered her that the other another girl was always touching him. Whether it was a simple brush of the arms or a hug around the waist, it bothered her. A lot. She wouldn't admit it, but she was jealous. She thought that for once, he was hers, but that was no longer the case.
She clutched her stomach tightly, trying to hold herself together. It wasn't working. She was slowly falling apart. Her sobs were hard and ragged as she cold consumed her. Her eyebrows creased as she willed the tears to just go away.
She closed her eyes once again. More tears spilled and mixed with the cold water and all she heard was another roll of thunder and the loud pour of the rain. Her lower lip trembled as she wished she would open her eyes and he would be there, coming to apologize. But when she opened her eyes, she was met with a flash of lightning and nothing else.
She was surrounded once more by darkness.

A/N
Here's just a little something I found in my long lost endless document of forgotten stories :P
It's not much, and im sure a few of you are very confused, so let me explain.
At the time, i believe i was writing a Harry/OC, and my OC was a slytherin, so basically it was like 'forbidden love', and so no one could know. and they got into an argument over some girl who harry was clueless towards her actions. I wont explain any more than that because i dont even know where i was taking it back then :O
Anyways, a quick review is appreciated :)!
