Hey guys so this is a fanfic containing ocs such as Tara (who I promise doesn't die in this one lol) and Selene who you'll find out more about later and there's gonna be more but the most relevant oc's at this moment are Tara and Selene. Enjoy the fic! :)

It was a bright sunny day at Emerald Park, which made it a perfect day for Tara and Selene to hang out there and have some ice cream. The girls looked like they lived at Hot Topic (except they didn't have piercings or dyed hair). Tara the Hedgehog was a 14 year old blue hedgehog and her older brother was the famous hero, Sonic the Hedgehog. She may not be as mighty as he was, but she still got a lot of publicity. That's how she met Selene the Hedgehog, a light hearted, mint-colored girl who had been living in foster care since the age of 4. It didn't bother Selene that she had to live in foster care. For her, foster care is nothing more than an everyday norm.

"So I guess I'm getting a new foster parent." Selene said to her friend.

"A foster parent? Not parents?" Tara looked at her.

"Yup."

"I mighta asked this before," Tara said. "But have you ever just had one foster parent before?" Selene thought for a moment.

"Yeah, like once or twice I think."

"Do you know who your foster parent is gonna be?"

"Well she's gonna be my foster mom. And I think her name is Susan."

"Will you be far away?"

"Nah I won't I'll be over in the trailer park I think."

"Oh. Well, that's good." Tara said as she licked her ice cream cone and as she did, she got ice cream on her chin, making Selene giggle.

"Uh, Tara? You got a little something." Selene said, smiling as she pointed at the middle of her chin, indicating an ice cream stain on Tara's face. Tara reached to wipe her chin, but then thought it would be funny to get ice cream on her friend's chin, so she pushed her ice cream cone to her face and got a bit ice cream on her chin. They both started laughing.

"Alright, Tara. You wanna fight? I'll kick your ass." Tara could only respond with laughter. The two wiped the ice cream off their chins. Selene licked her cone and thought for a second.

"We should start a band." Selene said.

"What?" Tara looked at her, kind of confused.

"You know, a band." Selene was excited at the very thought of being in a band. "You could be the drummer." However, Tara was hesitant.

"Oh… I don't know about that…" Selene still didn't back down from her offer.

"Come on, Tara!" Selene begged. "You're a great drummer!" Tara considered this whole "band" idea for a second.

"I'll be your drummer." Tara replied. "If you're the lead singer."

"Whaat?" Selene responded, confused.

"Come on! You're like the only person I know who can do screamo. Besides, you're voice sounds amazing." Selene thought for a second.

"Can Asher join?" Selene asked.

"Can he play an instrument?"

"Oh. Uh… I don't know." Selene replied while blushing.

"Ohhhh…. I see. I see very clearly." Responded Tara with a sly grin on her face.

"No!" Selene said, embarrassed. "He's like my-"

"Boyfriend?" Tara asked with the very sly grin remaining on her face.

"Damn it, Tara!" Selene snapped with a bright red face.

The girls laughed and spent the rest of the day together like the best friends they were.
