Hello, lovely readers! I'm sorry I haven't written in a while, but...you see...I have a good excuse. Karin has Guitar Hero at her house and I discovered that I totally own. Okay, so it's not a good excuse. But it IS an excuse.

Anyway, this is just a side story to Cause and Effect. I don't own Naruto, etc. I put this under angst/humor because it's funny, but it's also a little sad, if you read beneath the lines.

"Ack! I'm soooo sorry I'm late, but…"

Kakashi clenched his jaw. No way.

"Are you another slacker?"

Could this get any worse?

"I'm not a slacker! You're just stuffy! And my old sensei didn't care about time, anyway!"

It could.

"…I'm actually a girl."

No. Freaking. Way.What if they became friends? What if they started…dating? What if they…

Oh god, what if they reproduced?

Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it.

Was she…lecturing him?

Oh, good lord, she was. There were two of them. He didn't understand people like...them.

Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it.

"I'm gonna have trouble making friends with you if you're gonna act like you are now."

Good!

"The mission is important. Bonds are worthless, as you may lose teammates in order to-"

"Yeah, yeah…

Don't rise…don't take the bait.

Kakashi perked up.

Mission?

This was something he understood.

I'm just a line break…don't mind me!

She was very annoying.

"I like training, learning new techniques, ramen, my friends, and the color orange. I especially like Ichiraku ramen, because it's the best. But I also like cup ramen.

I don't like…hmm. I don't like it when people think they're better than others just because they are more accomplished, or because their family is well-known. I don't like being underestimated, and I hate the thought of giving up or going back on my promises.

My favorite things to do are…training, eating ramen, playing pranks and spending time with my friends. My goals are to be acknowledged as a person, not just a ninja or a…um…stereotype…and to become the best Hokage ever so I can protect everyone I care about!"

I can't stand her.

He couldn't stand people like her. People like them. People like…

Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it.

Sparring? That was something he understood.

…Pathetic.

That loser couldn't catch up if his life depended on it…and it most likely will, one of these days. Kakashi wasn't sure how he'd react to that. Would he…

Don't think about it.

…Well, at least the new girl – Naruto – was a little better. She still wasn't anything special. She'd only drag him down-

Oh god.

OH god.

What the hell is she thinking?!

This had to be cheating…somewhere, it had to be written that you can't strip on the training grounds to distract your opponent…especially when you're a girl.

And…

I'm just a line break…don't mind me!

Kakashi knew three things about Uzumaki Naruto.

One, she was almost a female version of Obito (and therefore annoying).

Two, she had no self-confidence issues.

Three, she was gonna cause hell for him until one of them snuffed it.

Well, on the plus side, now he knew that if he ever wanted to get rid of…those thoughts…he could just remember how Naruto looked without any clothes on.

He had to look away from her again.

Yep. Hell.
