Forbidden: Hikaru X Kaoru
Hikaru looked up into his twins eyes, and uttered the forbidden words that were never meant to be spoken.
"I-I love you, Kaoru." Kaoru froze, stunned.
'W-what did he...' Kaoru blushed lightly, but it was too dim for either of them to see well.
The two stayed in silence, neither of them able to look away.
"Kaoru?" Hikaru asked hesitantly.
Kaoru shook his head and laughed awkwardly.
you had me going there for a sec. Nice one." Kaoru slapped Hikaru's shoulder in a friendly gesture.
Hikaru joined his laughter, going along with it, but his eyes full of deep emotion, wounded by his twins words.
'Just when I got the courage to tell him, he does this.' He thought sadly.
Kaoru moved towards the door, turning the knob. "I'll see you around, Hikaru." Kaoru said, forcing a smile on his face for his twin before leaving shutting the door behind him.
When he got to the park he and Hikaru went to a lot, he let the fake smile slip and the tears to start falling. "Hikaru...I-I love you too." Kaoru sobbed, before breaking down completely.
Meanwhile, the snow started to fall, making the world look beautiful, but killing everything with the coldness it brings.
'Snow really is beautiful... but deadly.' Hikaru thought, feeling his eyes prick with the tears threatening to come.
"I wonder if it'll numb my aching, broken heart?" The twins simultaneously asked, watching the snow fall.
Their love was never meant to happen. It was forbidden for two people of the same family to be lovers. Not only were they brothers, but twins at that.
It was a cruel world indeed.
