Arwen's Poem

Aragorn, where are you?

Don't you remember that fateful night,

When we pledged our love?

It was on Cerin Amroth,

Remember now?

I can recall the day we first met.

I, little over 2700 years old, was walking to my father's chambers.

You, a mortal, a man, saw me by the stairs.

You gave me a cheeky wink and smiled as I rushed away.

Later you met me in the dining hall and changed my life for the better.

I told you I had been living with my grandmother Galadriel in Lórien,

You told me about your foster father, my father, Elrond and how he meant the world to you.

Then we knew we were destined to be together.

I gave up my immortality for you.

I can also recall a conversation with my father.

He mentioned you wished to marry me and that he would let you marry me until he was king.

And I screamed and shouted, because I loved you Aragorn.

I still do.

Oh, please come home Aragorn.

I gave up my immortal life for you.

I want to spend mortality with you.

Doesn't that mean something?

Oh, Aragorn, where are you?
