Summary: Its the golden trio's final year and it seems a new student is about to make school a lot more interesting, but before the new girl can be figured out, another new student shows up. Is there more to this new girl than meets the eye? And who is this mysterious boy that shows up in the middle of the year? ~~ I know, it's a horrible summary, but please give the story a chance!

** Prologue **

"A transfer student?"
"Yes. She seems quite promising. She will be arriving with the rest of the students tomorrow." Dumbledore smiled brightly across his desk, his eyes showing a slight twinkle as they took in McGonagall's shocked expression.
"But Headmaster, are you sure it is a good idea to accept a new student? The dorms are quite crowded this year as it is, and what with You-Know-Who lurking about it just doesn't seem like a very intelligent idea. And even worse, who knows what kind of people she has ties to!" McGonagall nervously argued her case as Dumbledore sat calmly listening, a light smile playing upon his lips.
"I've already had a separate room prepared for her. She is a bright girl, I'm sure she knows all about what is going on here and accepts the danger she may come across. And I must say I am shocked to hear you speak ill of a student, Minerva." McGonagall flustered at Dumbledore's statement, immediately trying explain herself but was quickly cut off as Dumbledore continued to speak. "No harm has been done, Minerva. It is understandable to be cautious in these times. She has already been accepted and it is too late to change our minds. Now, perhaps we should be on about other matters?"
"If you don't mind me asking, why exactly is she transferring? She has but one year left of school. And to come all the way from America! It seems quite strange..." The transfiguration teacher peered curiously at Dumbledore, the mischievous twinkle in his eyes not going unnoticed.
"It seems she was having some... unique problems at her last school. Although, now that I think about it, she wasn't the one that wished to transfer. If I remember correctly, it was her headmaster that requested I take her in. After hearing her story and reviewing her transcripts I was quite eager to offer a helping hand. Now, we really should begin discussing more important matters."
"But-"
"Don't worry, you will learn more about her soon enough, now about this years schedule..." McGonagall sighed to herself as Dumbledore continued on the new topic. 'I suppose I will just have to wait till classes begin to find out more...' Sighing once more to herself, she quickly turned her attention back to the headmaster, eager to begin what promised to be an interesting year.

AN: There! The finnished prologue! I know it seems kinda boring. This is my first story so please don't flame! I will hopefully start writing the first chapter tomorrow. If I get at least three reviews then I'll continue, but if not than I'll probably just throw it away. So please review! Thanks so much!
