Ok, hello again! *People resume throwing food* No, no, I swear i'ts not another Pokeshipping story, I swear. Ok, so now that's over with, I'd like to say that I am writing another OneShot for the contest. This Months' theme is how do the gang deal with birthdays on the road, which should be interesting at least. So without further ado, Surprise!
DISCLAIMER: In no way do I own Pokemon at all.

"Happy birthday sweetie!" Serena smacked her head as she realised why her mum was calling her this early.
"Thanks mum. I didn't realise it was my birthday." she replied. The girl had been sleeping profusely when she heard her Holocaster ringing.
"That's okay, I didn't wake you up too early did I?"
Serena sweatdropped. "Eeehhh, not really." She lied.
"Okay! I need to go now, say hello to Ash, Clemont and Bonnie for me."
"I will, bye mom!" The Holocaster turned off and Serena dropped asleep again.

Meanwhile, Ash, Clemont and Bonnie where planning a surprise for Serena.
"Well, I can't cook. Can either of you two?" Ash asked.
"No can do Ash, and I think that goes for Bonnie too." Clemont replied.
Bonnie, who was busy chasing Chespin and Dedenne.
"I could order a cake, Fletchinder, go!" Fletchinder came out in a flash of light.
"Fletchinder!"
"Good to see you too. Take this to the nearest Pokemart, Okay?" Ash handed over a note, some Poke and a bag with a cake tin in it.
Fletchinder flew away and the kids resumed their conversation.
"We should find a way to celebrate without wasting much money..." They both sat scratching their chins when a lightbulb appeared above Clemonts' head.
"I've got it!" Clemont ran into his tent and came back out with a machine in his hands.
"The future is now thanks to science! I call it the ballon maker 5000!"
"So cool!" stated Ash
"Eh, needs a better name." said Bonnie
The machine was multicoloured, with a little vent on the side to allow air to get in. There was a big hole on the top which Ash supposed was for ballons to come out of.
Clemont started up the machine and it wheezed a bit and ballons begun to float out of the machine, connected by strips of nylon. About 30 Ballons made it out before suddenly the machine coughed, spluttered and exploded. Bits of ballon went everywhere and the three had big Afros from the sudden explosion.
"Heh, at least we got a few Ballons." Clemont said, looking on the bright side.
"Anyway, how about a banner?" Ash asked, and Bonnie nodded enthusiastically.
The trio then set to work on making a banner that read 'Happy Birthday Serena!' and after lots of hard work and many paint-battles, they finally finished the preparations.
"Now time to wake up Serena" Ash declared

Serena woke up in a jolt, literally. Pikachu had let out a weak thundershock to wake her up.
She got up, dressed, and decided to see what the matter was. As soon as she exited her tent, she saw a banner. But before she could read it, Ash, Clemont and Bonnie jumped out of bushes with all the Pokemon and yelled:
"SURPRISE"
The preparations were excellent, with the big banner hung up on branches, balloons surrounding a picnic blanket on which lay 4 plates and a chocolate cake. Serena couldn't believe that her friends had gone through all that for her.
"Thank you! Oh, how lovely." Serena hugged Ash, and both blushed.
"So how about we have some cake? I sure am hungry" declared Clemont, and everyone agreed.
And all was well.
