A/N: Hey, guys and gals. Er, mostly gals. Anyways, Kinzee here. :) This is based off the song 'Ordinary Day' by Vannesa Carlton, I do believe. It's not very good, and the endings a bit choppy, but, eh. Hope y'all like it. :)
Dedication: For Heidi Erickson! Miss IllowWay, I enjoy your company ever so much. And you'll be glad, I didn't even include Nolan in this one-shot! Bhahaha. Anyways, your awesome. :) Love you!
Just a boy,
Just an ordinary boy.
But he was looking to the sky.
Best friends.
Best friends forever.
They had met when they were twelve. Both were embarrassed to be at a park.
Chad was sitting on the end of a bench. Sonny, biting her lip, sat on the other end.
Chad was staring at the sky.
"I'm going to be famous one day."
He didn't seem to be talking to Sonny, but she couldn't be sure.
"How do you know?"
"Because it's my dream," he informed her.
"I have dreams, too."
I started to realize
That everyday he finds
Just what he's looking for,
Like a shooting star he shines.
Sonny soon realized just how special Chad was.
He had his parents wrapped around his little finger.
Whatever he wanted, he'd get.
That's why, in Sonny's opinion, he was going to be famous one day.
He said take my hand,
Live while you can
Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand.
"Sonny, what do you dream of?"
They were fourteen now.
Chad and Sonny, the inseparable pair.
They both shared a love for acting.
They layed on there back in the grass, both looking at the sky, now.
"I want to be a comedian one day."
Chad propped himself up on an elbow to look at Sonny.
"We'll become famous together, then."
And as he spoke, he spoke ordinary words
Although they did not feel
For I felt what I had not felt before
And you'd swear those words could heal.
Sonny could listen to Chad talk forever.
Everything he said held so much emotion.
They put Sonny in a trance.
It confused her, the feeling.
Everytime she cried, Chad knew exactly what to say.
And she started to wonder if he was an Angel, sent to her by God.
And as I looked up into those eyes
His vision borrows mine.
And I know he's no stranger,
For I feel I've held him for all of time.
The first time Sonny felt as if something was different was when they hugged one day before departure.
Sonny's head was barely able to reach Chad's shoulder.
Something was there- something neither had felt before.
It made them not want to ever let go.
Please come with me,
See what I see.
Touch the stars for time will not flee.
Time will not flee.
Can you see?
Chad, at fifteen, had gotten a job at Mackenzie Falls.
It was huge.
It made him the biggest teen sensation.
Sonny waited another year till she got a job on So Random.
Sonny, walking through the commons, smiled at the passing Chad.
He smiled back.
And for a second, they were both those twelve year olds again,
Who met on a bench in a park they both didn't want to be at.
