Yes, I'm a Twilight fan. Team Seth, because he's awesome. I'm not a fanatic but I've always loved Seth Clearwater. He's the cheerful little brother that I wish I had. But I do have a rockin' little sister, so it's cool.
Anyway, this was for a challenge I saw for a few years ago basically: pick a character from the Twilight Saga and tell what they see in the mirror.
When Seth Clearwater looks in the mirror, which really isn't that often, he isn't sure what he sees. His short black hair and dark brown eyes mark him as a member of his tribe. The dimples he's had his entire life prove he's his mother's son, she has the same ones. The way his left nostril is just bigger than the right one remind him of his deceased father. He and Leah share the same nose.
But what else was there?
He was tall and skinny thanks to the werewolf genes. And his eyes? There might be more there than the dark brown. There's this look that shows he's seen death. It's not there long, just randomly flashes through his brain. He watched as his pack and some of his vamp friends tore other vampires to pieces. Not to mention a kill he made on his own during that same battle.
A few years ago he never would have thought he would have killed someone before he was even out of high school. Heck, he never expected to kill anyone.
When Seth Clearwater looks in the mirror, which really isn't that often, he isn't sure what he sees. What is he supposed to see? He's no hero, no one really important. Seth is just some kid from Washington State who had a sister who hasn't been the same since Sam imprinted on Emily and a window mother. His only friends are the Pack guys, Leah doesn't count since they're related, and a couple vampires. What the hell happened?
Seth wasn't even sure what he wanted to do with his extended life. His mother mentioned college a few times, but Seth had never been great at school. He knew he needed to do something to help out his mom, but it seemed Billy Black was stepping up to the role. The two were becoming close and Seth wasn't sure if they were more than friends but...he didn't know how to feel about that.
When Seth Clearwater looks in the mirror, which really isn't that often, he isn't sure what he sees. There are hints of stress lines on his face that shouldn't be there for someone his age. But then again, you try dealing with school, being a werewolf, and all the drama that comes with both of those topics.
But when he hears his mother hollering for him, telling him breakfast is read, when he hears Leah playing her music too loudly from her room, when he hears Jacob or Sam or one of the wolves shutting the screen door of his house-Seth has to smile. Maybe he does know what he sees.
When Seth Clearwater looks in the mirror, which really isn't that often, he sees one of the luckiest guys in the world. He's got a big sister who, when it came down to it, loved him. His mother loved him, too. He had friends that could turn into wolves and would throw impromptu wrestling matches in the living room floor. His best friend was a vampire. Sure, he didn't have everything he wanted-like a new pair of shoes-but he had what he needed: a family.
