Last wish
Shadow was smiling. He was in pain, but smiling. As his fur burnt up, his skin scalding, he remembered all of his friends he had met. All of them, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and even Amy rose.
His friends. He hadn't had a friend since Maria. And now he was at peace. She was falling next to him. Her eyes smiling. He reached out and touched his hand, comforting him. Soon he would be with her. His eyes swelled with happy tears.
As he stared out at the starry sky, he looked at the moon. His last wish was that Eggman would repair it. So it shone like her face. He blinked his ruby eyes for the last time, and stared out at the scene of beauty, the scene he couldn't see.
