The Woes of Power Ranger Baek

Baek-ah was a man of artistic soul. Anybody would know that. They would also forgive any eccentricity that came hand in hand with being an artist. He wasn't much of a weirdo, anyway. The only difference between his sweet artistic behind and normal plebeians was the fact that he was handsome. He played it cool, but he was very much aware that girls flock to him like fleas to a dog (a dirty, sinful dog-wait, it's So-hyungnim). It didn't help that he looked good in everything and everything enhanced his looks and manliness, no matter how not man-like his clothing sometimes were.

Except for this one.

Now, Baek-ah was a man of open mind. It came with being an artist. He had nothing against the color pink (a.k.a light red or what have you). In fact, he quite liked the color. He owned a few outfits of that particular shade. Girls liked him wearing pink. It made his skin look a tad healthier than it already was. There were many benefits in wearing pink. Real men wear pink.

But even Baek-ah drew the line at a pink leotard.

Yes, yes, Baek-ah realized that as a superhero with superpowers, one held a certain responsibility. One must cast aside personal interests and preferences over the greater good of the common people. However, that didn't mean he was obliged to wear a goddamn pink leotard in order to save the world. His artistic soul was offended.

Pink is good, YES. But, it's not good when said pink was meant to be attached to a superhero suit meant for a MAN (because Baek-ah was a Man, alright. With capital M. Don't believe him, ask Woo-hee), especially if said superhero suit was in the form of a LEOTARD.

There would be more than enough attention at how tight and clingy the suit would be to his perfectly chiseled form. It would draw even more unwanted female (and male) gazes towards a certain part of the human form which name shall not be mentioned but would be implied to be located a little around the middle of the body.

Baek-ah wanted to cry.

Baek-ah cursed whoever think it's funny to make a pink Power Ranger suit for a manly Man.

Baek-ah wished Yo-hyungnim would burn in hell because how could he snatch away the yellow leotard (the second last suit to be taken) before Baek-ah could and HOW DARE he modified it into a golden suit which actually looked pretty cool!

Baek-ah hated Yo-hyungnim.

It was too bad Yo-hyungnim was impervious to the death glares Baek-ah pointedly give him. He willed it to kill. Baek-ah even stood beside Yo-hyungnim as he put on his suit in front of the mirror.

Yo-hyungnim's resilience was astounding.

Baek-ah wouldn't be able to make Yo-hyungnim give up and switch costumes. So, Baek-ah switched his murderous stare to someone else instead. So-hyungnim's badass Power Ranger Black suit caught his immediate interest.

So-hyungnim caught his stare. He immediately threw his batman cape over his body to hide it from Baek-ah's intense gaze and ran away from the changing room before Baek-ah could so much as blink.

Baek-ah was hurt.

He thought he was So-hyungnim's favorite kawaii little brother. But, it's okay. Baek-ah's determination was as strong as Yo-hyungnim's resilience.

Baek-ah shall not become Power Ranger Pink.

Baek-ah went out to find Jung.
