Chapter 1:

Tony Stark was in his lab, as usual, fixing one of his suits, after the attack on Manhatten as Jarvis suddenly said, "Sir, there seems to be a small problem." "What is it, J?" asked Tony. "Look to your right, Sir," as Tony looked, he saw a small package with a letter on top of it. "Since when has this been here?" "Since just a few moments ago, there was a foreign energy source and it suddenly appeared," responded Jarvis. "Let me read that real quick," said Tony taking the note in his hand. There stood:

Dear Tony Stark, I want you to call the following people together:

Natasha Romanoff

Clint Barton

Bruce Banner

Thor

Steve Rogers

Pepper Potts

James Rhodes

Nick Fury

Maria Hill

Erik Selvig

Jane Foster

Darcy Lewis

Elizabeth "Betty" Ross

and Phil Coulson to watch these movies in this order:

Iron Man

Thor

Captain America The First Avenger

Avengers Assemble

and a few of them are set in the future:

Tony was shocked when he found out and ran to the elevator and said, "Jarvis bring me to the common room floor, please." "As you wish," responded Jarvis.

As Tony came to the top floor, he immediately spotted the rest of the Avengers lounging on the couch watching TV. It was Natasha that spotted him first and asked, "Stark what`s going on, is the world ending?" "No, I just got this package with this letter on top of it, you have to read this and you´re not gonna believe it." Natasha read the letter out loud to the others. "What does that mean? Your old friend from beyond the grave?" asked Clint. "I have no idea," said Tony, "Come on, Let´s get these people here."

A little while later all the people who stood on the list were all in the living room of the Avenger's tower without knowing what´s going on.

"Why are we here again, Stark, What do you want from us?" "We are here to watch a couple of movies together, the first one being Iron Man," said Tony. "Where did you get them from?" asked Fury. "They just appeared in my lab, so we´re gonna watch them," after Tony said that there appeared another note in front of them. This time Jane took it and read it to them out loud: Dear Avengers, you are gathered here together to watch these films to bond better together as a team. As for the other people here, well let`s just say I wanted them here In love, Your friend from Beyond the grave.

"Well ok, then let´s get started," said Phil Coulson, who actually did not die. Tony came forward and put the first DVD into the player as everyone made themselves comfortable, Thor together with Jane, Bruce with Betty, Tony with Pepper and the rest who aren't a relationship together n the other side. Everything went quiet as the movie started.

They could see a desert appear with the words Kunar, Afghanistan Province where a couple of Military vehicles were driving, with AC/DC`s Back in Black playing in the Background. Inside the vehicles, they could see a hand holding a glass of Scotch. "I feel like you´re driving me to a court-martial, this is crazy. What did I do?" The soldier beside him just stared ahead. "I feel like you´re gonna pull over and snuff me." Tony looked towards the young soldier. "What, you´re not allowed to talk?"

"Show a little more respect to these soldiers, would you?" said Steve practically growling. "Relax Cap, This was in 2008, I´ve changed a lot since then," responded Tony. Steve reluctantly let it go.

"Hey, Forrest!" Tony said.

Steve nearly exploded right then.

"We can talk, sir," said the soldier. "Oh, I see. So it´s personal?" "No, You intimidate them," said a female voice from the front.

"A female warrior," cried Thor.

"Dear god, you're a woman," Tony said, looking at her. "I honestly, I couldn´t have called that. I mean I´d apologize, but isn´t that what we´re going for here?"

Fury just shook his head.

The young soldier chuckled to himself. "I thought of you as a soldier first," said Tony. "I´m an airman," said the woman. "Well, you have actually excellent bone structure there. I´m kinda finding it hard not looking at you now. Is that weird?"

The Avengers and the others laughed.

The soldiers onscreen did as well. Tony grinned. "C´mon, It´s okay, laugh. Hey!" One of the soldiers from the front turned around suddenly. "I Sir, I have a question to ask." "Yea, please," said Tony. "Is it true that you went 12 for 12 with last year´s cover models?"

Everyone gasped, and Tony grinned.

"That is an excellent question," said Tony, ripping off his sunglasses. "Yes and no, March and I had a scheduling conflict but unfortunately the Christmas cover was twins."

The Women in the room just rolled their eyes at him. Tony held his hands up in surrender. "Hey what can I say, I´m a playboy."

The Lady soldier from before who was driving smiled. "Anything else?" asked Tony. The young soldier hesitantly put his hand up. "You´re kidding me with the hand up right?" said Tony.

Steve got angry this time around. But Tony just said, "Mind your own business, Rogers."

"Is it cool if I take a picture with you?" he asked, watching Tony´s face carefully.

The Avengers noticed that Tony closed his eyes.

"Yes, it's very cool," agreed Tony.

Everyone rolled their eyes but didn´t say anything.

The soldier smiled and took out a camera from his pocket, handing it to the soldier in the seat before him. "Alright," he said smiling. Tony and the soldier leaned closer together and the young soldier brought up a hand which said peace. "I don´t wanna see this on your MySpace page," said Tony.

Clint snorted. "MySpace? How old Is this?" "As Sir said earlier Agent Barton, this took place in 2008," replied Jarvis. Thor and Steve looked confused. They had no idea what MySpace was.

"Please, no gang signs," said Tony. The soldier glanced at him nervously and put it down quickly. "No, throw it up, I`m just kidding," said Tony.

"You just love to fuck everyone up, don´t you?"

"Yeah, peace," said Tony, as the soldier put up his hand again, beaming with a smile. "I love peace. I´d be out of a job with peace." The soldier with the camera fiddled with the button. "C´mon, C'mon! Just click it! Don´t change any settings, just click it!" The young soldier told him.

Tony squeezed his eyes shut, bracing himself.

BOOM! A huge explosion erupted before their car.

"Oh My God!" Yelled Jane. "WHAT THE FU-" gasped Rhody. Everyone jumped away from the TV, except Tony, who was looking again.

There were screams in the jeep as Tony stared ahead where the explosion had just been with horror. "What´s going on?" demanded Tony. The female soldier leaped out of the car with her gun, only to be shot down immediately. The soldier who had been taking the picture turned to the young soldier. "Jimmy, stay with stark!" He commanded. Then he too jumped out. He was shooting at the enemy that you couldn´t see the angle. Some bullets slammed into the windshield. „Stay down!" Yelled Jimmy at Tony, pushing him down. Then Jimmy too, got out, yelling, `son of a bitch!´as he did.

Tony swallowed, trying to push down his nausea. „No!" Steve. „Follow your order!"

There was an orchestra of bullets outside, and Tony could hear them ricocheting off the car. „Wait wait wait, give me a gun!" pleaded Tony as Jimmy turned to face him through the window. „Stay! Here!" shouted Jimmy at him. As he turned, there was an explosion of bullets that killed the kid instantly, blood splattering on the window. Bullet holes were left in the metal, bright light filtering through them. Tony blinked violently.

Pepper turned to Tony, stunned. „Is that what you could hear?" Tony nodded soundlessly.

Outside there were more explosions, the red smoke erupting just outside. Smoke billowed into the cloudless sky. There was more shouting, more gunshots, and Tony was looking around, completely panicked. More bodies collapsed to the ground, dead. There was a whistle of a shell. Then Tony got out of the car, stumbling in the dust. He ducked as an explosion erupted just beside him.

Steve stood up. „No, No, No! You have to stay in there," He turned to Tony. „What´s wrong with y-" Fury cut him off and said,"Not now, Captain," pointing to Tony, who was staring at the TV with big eyes, and his breathing labored.

Tony continued running along the battlefield, fires everywhere, shouts ringing out over the explosions. There was another explosion just behind him, and Tony was thrust behind a rock. He took out his phone and began to tap furiously. When a huge missile landed just a few meters away. It said, Stark Industries.

The eyes of the Avengers and the others widened, and Tony just groaned. He was not proud of the man he used to be, and so he didn´t want them to know. And yet here they are watching a movie about his life.

The missile whistled, getting louder by the second. Tony scrambled away with horror.

„GET AWAY!" Clint practically screamed.

Tony let out a strangled cry as he was thrown back by the explosion. He landed flat on his back, covered with dust. He groaned slightly, shifting his head, eyes closed. The ringing was back, louder now. Tony moaned, gasped for air and he forced his eyes open. He blinked as he stared ahead, as though he wasn´t seeing much. Tony tried to catch his his breath as he seemingly noticed a pain in his chest. He brought a hand up to his shirt, it was stained with spots of blood and he used his hands to rip it open. The Bulletproof vest he was wearing underneath was stained with blood, too. Tony gasped and laid his head on the dirt beneath him. The screen faded into white as some spoke in a different language, the voices grew louder, and they were now shouting.

Tony took his head in his hands, the voices triggering an unpleasant memory.

Suddenly the white shifted into what was obviously Tony´s perspective. The camera shifted and all of a sudden they were seeing Tony tied to a chair with a bag over his head. His hair was matted to his head, a cut on his temple oozing blood on his face. Everywhere were cuts on his face, that ruined his handsome face. In the background they could see soldiers armed with guns, guarding Tony. A voice was yelling in a different language as he attempted to blink the blurriness from his eyes.

„Which language were they speaking?" asked Darcy, trembling.

„What are they saying?" asked Betty.

Pepper responded with,"You will probably find out later in the movie."

Tony looked around, his head lolling. They could see he was nearly unconscious. A gun was held against his face, near his bleeding ear.

`Oh My God, there is blood everywhere`thought Pepper.

The perspective changed to look at two men, one of them was holding a camera, that was obviously recording. The view switched back to Tony, his eyes were burning with hatred but were unfocused, and disoriented with pain. It zoomed out, and showed at least three soldiers with bandanas covering their face, holding guns at him. The man doing all the yelling stood beside Tony holding a piece of paper, reading of it. Tony glared into the camera, his eyes burning with rage and fear. Then the screen went black, and the words, IRON MAN, flashed up in gold letters.

„Oh My God, that was just the intro?" asked Clint.

„I didn´t know you were taken hostage, much less in Afghanistan...No way..."

Fury´s eye looked at the Avengers. „Didn´t you read Stark´s file?" He demanded.

„Yes we did but there was nothing in it about this," said Steve.

Everyone turned to Tony. He held up his hands in surrender and grinned. „I may have deleted a few things in there."

Everyone just shook their heads at him and a few had to laugh.
