The voices were getting louder as the seconds ticked by. It sounded like gibberish almost. But it couldn't be. Was it Russian? No, French perhaps? Wrong again, it was German. It was so confusing. Oh, what was that pounding going on. Headache. What happened? Why can't I move? What's going on? Where am I?!
Krista cried out as another needle was pushed into her skin, around her abdomen area. Sweet Mercy it hurt. Opening her honey colored eyes, she twisted her head to see where she was, what was going on with her. "Look, she's awake." She heard someone speak out, his accent thick. "Good, let her watch." Another said as he held up a scalpel. What? What do they- Her thought was cut off as she felt the blade cut across her midsection. She could feel the skin separating to expose everything inside her. They tugged on something, then a high pitched squeal was sounded. NO! She wanted to scream out.
Her son, Hunter, was born. But it was too soon. Wasn't it? What day was it? Month rather. Twisting her head to see her child, a gasp fell from her lips as she watched nurse, dressed all in black, carry her squalling child away from her.
"Now, we must put in the materials to remake her into vhat we vant her to be." The man she heard earlier speak. There was movement to her left, but she didn't bother to look. Darkness over came her. She was gone.
The monitors beeped and chimed, alerting the doctors that she was dead. They rushed to get what they needed down. They were creating a hybrid/cyborg. Blood of a wolf, another of a tiger and another of snake, then they set to work to removing limbs and putting in metal ones. Reconstructing her body. Manipulating the architecture of her being.
As the minutes ticked by, the doctor threw home the last stitch, then doubled checked to make sure everything was in place. Satisfied, he gave a nod of his head and patted the woman's head. "Krista, you've done vell. Sleep, and vhen you vake up next, you vill no longer be human." Lestor, her father but sadly the father of her child Hunter.
