Ever since she was a little girl, Christmas had always been Aria Fitz's favorite holiday. As she grew older, the magic of Christmas never wavered, and she loved bringing other people into her bubble of holiday cheer.
"Good morning, love." Ezra said, rolling over and looking his beautiful wife in the eyes. There was nothing he loved more than waking up next to her, and sharing these moments of quietness. She smiled softly, her hazel eyes fluttering up at him.
"Good morning, babe." Aria responded, her hands moving up to bury themselves in his wild curls.
"I'm surprised she hasn't woken up yet." Aria said tiredly, scooting herself closer to Ezra so he could wrap his arms around her. They cuddled tightly together, Ezra occasionally pressing a soft kiss to Aria's forehead, soaking up these small moments of stillness.
"Merry Christmas, sweetheart. I love you." Ezra said, pulling away from her so that he could kiss her. Just as he began to lean in, he was interrupted by wails coming from the room down the hall.
"Told you it wouldn't be long before she'd wake up." Aria said with a smile, kissing him quickly before throwing back the covers, leaving their bedroom.
"What's wrong, pumpkin? Mommy's right here." She said as she walked into Daisy's room, heading straight to the crib nestled into the corner of the large nursery. Daisy's face was red from the tears but the minute she saw Aria's face, her tears subsided. She was a beautiful miracle baby, and the most important thing in the world to Ezra and Aria. After being told that Aria would most likely never be able to conceive children, they threw away every condom in the house and Aria stopped taking her birth control. Both didn't see the point in being cautious when there was no chance for them to ever conceive a child of their own. One day, after being sick off and on for about two weeks, Aria went to see her doctor who then informed her that she was pregnant. The shock and excitement she felt at that exact moment was unexplainable, her and Ezra would get to have a family of their own. Nine months later, Daisy Elizabeth Fitz was born into the world on December 5th, surrounded by love and joy.
"She's just fussy." Ezra said, leaning up against the door of Daisy's nursery.
"Merry Christmas, pumpkin. Mommy and Daddy love you very much." Aria said, looking down at their beautiful daughter. She was so tiny, only being twenty days old, but she had her heart. Her and Ezra could spend all day just looking at her, she amazed them.
"Let's go see what Santa got you!" Ezra exclaimed as he followed Aria out of her nursery, down the stairs.
Aria sat on the couch with Daisy resting peacefully in her arms, the snow beginning to fall on their back patio. Ezra reached down underneath their tree and pulled out a box with a card on top that had his name written on it. He smiled at Aria sitting there with their child in her arms, he couldn't be more in love with the both of them if he tried.
Dear Ezra,
I know this year has been one of our toughest but also one of our happiest. I thought of getting you this so that no matter where you go, we're always with you.
Love,
Aria and Daisy
Ezra smiled and opened the box, revealing a silver and blue watch with a black leather strap.
"Thank you, babe." He said excitedly, turning and smiling at Aria.
"Turn it over." Aria said with a slight smile.
Ezra frowned as he took the watch out of the box and flipped it over, seeing AF & DF engraved into the back plate. His eyes watered as he got up and walked over, kissing her like it was the only thing that mattered to him.
"Thank you. I love you so much." He responded, kissing her once more.
"I'm so glad I have you and our little miracle with me. I don't know what I'd do without you two." He said as he admired Daisy's tiny face.
Aria blushed at Ezra's words, even she couldn't imagine a life without either of them. Ever since Aria was a girl, there were two things she was certain of. One, she would get married and have children of her own. Two, she'd get to experience a Christmas miracle at some point in her life. Being the Christmas lover that she was, she was convinced that Daisy was her Christmas gets to have a miracle some point in their life, and Daisy Elizabeth Fitz was theirs, and they wouldn't have it any other way.
