Don't ask. lol. Got caught in a huge thunderstorm in Munich. And I mean huge. Munich never makes a small deal of storms. Title is randomly from a Maaya Sakamoto song. I think."So we're in the middle of a thunderstorm and we're standing under a very tall tree. Whose idea was this again?"
"Carter, do you work at being a prophet of doom or does it come naturally to you?"
"Naturally, Sir, in these sorts of situations where we're doing what every five year old child is lectured not to do."
"I thought every five year old child was lectured to dial 911 if something happened to somebody with them?"
"…Most five year olds, then."
"Is this not a most dangerous course of action?" Teal'c questioned.
"Yeah, just short of standing on a tall building with a metal rod in your hand," Daniel answered.
"Oooo, can we do that next?" Jack affected an enthusiastic voice, which was cut short as Sam slapped him round the head, "Ouch!" he glared at her, "Insubordination!"
"Overwhelming stupidity!" she countered.
"Touché!"
"Seriously, guys, are we just going to stand here cowering under a tree afraid of a little rain?" the archaeologist goaded. Silence from his three companions greeted him, "…I guess we are then."
"I wont tell if you wont," Sam smiled.
"I want to jump in the puddles," Jack stated.
She stared, "I did not just hear you say that."
"I do not believe there is anything preventing you from jumping in the puddles, O'Neill," Teal'c informed him.
"Apart from getting soaked," he mused.
"You'd get soaked either way," Daniel mumbled.
"I volunteer Daniel to go forth and see if the puddles are suitable for jumping in," Jack grinned.
"I don't follow your orders outside of the SGC!" he protested.
"You don't follow my orders anyway!"
Daniel frowned, "Good point."
"Would the best course of action not be to make a swift run to our vehicle?" Teal'c proposed, not impressed with the fact that they were, after all, just hiding from a few droplets of falling water.
"I'm with Teal'c on this one."
Jack rolled his eyes, "Come on then, let's move it," he made a motion as if to herd everyone away from the tree, breaking into a run himself.
Sam remained still, looking up at the sky dubiously.
"Come on, Sam!" Daniel yelled, running.
"We're going to get absolutely soaked! Its not even slacked off a little!" she shouted back. She frowned, disgusted with herself, "I sound like such a girl," she muttered, preparing to run into the rain. Sam broke into a run only to meet with what appeared to be a sheet of water. She shrieked, again, disgusted with herself for behaving in such a 'girly' fashion. Through already sopping wet hair, she glared at the culprit, and down at the puddle at her feet.
Jack grinned, "Couldn't resist."
She gave a low growl of fury and kicked a huge spray of water back at him, soaking his now retreating form, "You're going to pay for that, Colonel!" Sam swore, heading after him, and hopefully to the safety of her car.
"Gotta catch me first!"
"You can't run forever!"
"Watch me!"
