Welcome to this lovely installment. I wanted to do something alittle closer to the storyline and this popped in to say hello. For those of you who liked the way Xari was set up in BMBE, don't worry she's still the same smart mouth.

WARNING: Xari has a potty mouth. Dirty words will be said. Don't like? don't read.

Disclaimer: I own nothing!

Prelude:

Inexari stared up at her brother's townhouse, a disbelieving look on her face. Her duffle landed with a soft 'thump' sound next to her and she glanced briefly at it before looking back. It was cute, all things considered, with its neatly boxed in rose garden just slightly off the front door, and sunny yellow paint job on the outside. Ok, Inexari grimaced, the only reason she hated the damn thing was the damn bright yellow. It was, in a word, gross.

Just as she completed that thought Wilem bounded-Inexari groaned as the image of her older brother bounding was forever burned into her memory- out of the door and down the garden path.

"Darling little sister!" He crooned as he wrapped her in a tight hug that both lifted her off her feet and knocked the air from her lungs. But she had to smile. Will was her BBBFF. No matter how annoyingly flamboyant he was.

"Willie!" She smiled as she attempted to hug him back just as tightly.

"I'm so happy that you'll be staying with me for a while! Now I have an excuse to annoy you!"

"Oh Will, if there's any annoying to be done it'll be from me!" Inexari declared beaming.

A small cough from behind her and the spell between big brother and young sister was broken. "Father." Wilem's tone turned cool as he placed his sister down and faced his sire. Inexari turned too. Madera Trelone was a tall man, with jet black hair styled into a fashionably conservative look and, like his children, bright blue eyes that looked like chunks of glacial eyes. Either sibling would swear the man himself was ice.

"You are to break Inexari of this horrible rebellious habit." Madera commanded sternly as he placed his daughter's final bag down. "Not encourage a 'whose more annoying contest.'"

Wilem's face tightened. "Xari isn't rebellious, Father. She's a teenager."

"Who is lashing out at my clients and dying her beautiful hair that awful shade!" Madera gestured to Xari's electric blue hair without looking at her. It's appalling!"

Wilem glanced briefly at her and Xari gave her best 'kicked puppy' stare. "I'll admit its extreme, but the overall effect is quite sweet."

Madera narrowed her eyes. "Learn that from you boyfriend, did you?"

"What does that have to do with-? Oh forget it Mr. Homophobe who's ashamed of his own offspring."

Madera muttered something suspiciously derogatory before turning on his heel and stomping back to his rented car. "Do not let Xari run wild Wilem." And with those final words he sped off, not looking back.

Wilem ran a hand through his own ginger colored hair and smiled wistfully at Inexari. "Let me help you get your bags in and then we'll order pizza. You've got a long day tomorrow."

"Why's that?" Xari asked hefting her duffle over her shoulder.

"You start Sweet Amoris High School."

Xari snorted. "Sweet Amoris. What the fuck."

Wil nodded. "I know," he chortled, "that's a little too gay for me. But still I'm sure you'll meet a guy with a rocking bod." He paused and thought. "That I'll eventually have to kill."

Xari laughed.
