I beamed as I heard my cover of "Pretender" by Foo Fighters through the speakers of Beca's laptop. After working on it for 8 weeks, I felt like I have accomplished something for once. I love the fact that I can do these covers and have Beca listening to them to see where I went wrong and what I can improve on. I like her criticism best.
Beca made an unreadable face as the song reached the ending riff. What was it? Disgust? Curious? Surprised? MOCKING!? UGH!! WOMEN AND THEIR UNREADABLE FACES!!! It was driving me in-to-the-sane not knowing what she was thinking.
"Hey Lukas, can I borrow you for a sec?" Chloe's mousy voice made me jump about an inch in the air."Jesus, Chloe! A knock would be nice." i said as i gave her the "bruh" look i inherited from Beca
"It'll be quick, I promise." Chloe said, barely suppressing a giggle.
"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere." Beca said with a small smile
"Agh...A'ight..." I said with a groan, getting up from the floor and walking to the former Barden Ginger. She led me to the kitchen and i asked, "So whats up?"
"THIS is whats up." She handed me a folded up piece of paper.
"Who's it from?" I asked.
"Well, open it and find out!" She gave me the Chloe smile. Dammit Chloe.
I opened the note and read it. The first thing I noticed was that it was in Beca's andwriting.
Well, I dont usually write these things but I might as well try something new.
I really like you- (I tried not to look surprised but my feelings betrayed me)-and i was wondering if maybe you and I could be something more?

"Well?" Chloe said, beaming. "What are ya gonna say?"
