… … …

Camille watched Fisher pass Maggie on the walkway, as had happened numerous times before, but this time she caught something in the way they didn't look at each other that had her eyes widening shortly before her smile did. She crossed the room and caught up with him as he waited for the elevator.

He smiled at her at first but then the look on her face must have made him suspicious. His brow creased into a frown.

"So…" she began, letting her smile grow even further, "my list just got an interesting addition."

His eyes narrowed. "Your list?"

"'Fisher likes…'" she reminded him.

"Are you actually keeping a list?" he asked her as the elevator doors opened behind him.

She shrugged. "That's not really relevant."

He stepped into the elevator so she moved to stand against the open doors.

"Something fishy is going on," she commented, emphasis heavy on the second word.

"Camille –"

"Very 'Fishie'," she repeated.

She saw him glance behind her and knew he understood. She also knew that he wouldn't have this conversation in earshot of everyone else, so she stepped inside, allowing the doors to close.

"Yes, that's right," she continued once they were alone, "I 'Brangelina'd you."

"You –" he stopped and she admired his determination to not give anything away. "Aren't you supposed to use both first names or both surnames?"

She raised an eyebrow, intrigued that he had given the topic that much thought. "There's no hard and fast rule."

"But it would be better."

"Not when using one surname and one first name produces something as awesome as 'Fishie'."

"If you say so."

"Anyway, I have noticed that you're being pedantic about the name to try to distract me. Not gonna work… Because I have also noticed that you haven't denied that something is going on."

"Nor have I confirmed it."

"True." She pressed the stop button bringing the elevator to a halt. "So, what's going on with you and Maggie?" she grinned anticipatorily.

He reached past her and started the elevator up again. "She's our boss, Camille."

"That doesn't seem to have stopped you."

He simply stared at her, his expression unchanging and unreadable.

"… She's my boss," she eventually realised, "that's why you won't talk. Okay. I get it. I won't ask."

The elevator stopped and the doors opened. Fisher moved to leave but paused at the last minute, resting his hand over the door to keep it open.

"Are you going to discuss your… suspicions with the others?"

She grimaced. "Not now you've asked me not to," she grumbled.

He smiled and stepped away.

"But, Fisher…"

He turned back.

"… You need to work on your poker face. Because it was really," she dragged out the word for emphasis, "obvious to anyone who just saw you together."

He frowned. "What was?"

Camille laughed, "Better."

"See you tomorrow."

Camille watched him until the doors blocked her view then pressed to return to the lab. She couldn't help smirking about her discovery but it quickly turned into a scowl when she remembered that she couldn't talk about it. Why had she agreed to that?
