"Doctor," Rose whispered into the night air. "This is beautiful."
"I knew you'd like it," he grinned. Rose looked at him, admiration in her eyes. He was the most handsome and mysterious man that she'd ever met. He had changed her world. At the beginning she had been a shop-girl, and now she travelled through time and amongst the stars. She had witnessed his regeneration when he had given his life to save hers. This was the first moment that she realised she'd loved him. Of course, she'd loved him before that, probably from the very first day. He had been wonderful. He had taken her to the end of the world, back to see Charles Dickens, to meet her father, to the second world war, to a television station thousands of years in the future. He had travelled with her to the New Earth, to Queen Victoria, a spaceship in the future that followed the life of Madame de Pompadour, been to an alternate universe and met the cybermen, lost her face in the week preceding the coronation of the Queen, been to an impossible planet where the Doctor had almost lost his life, and to the London Olympics. There had been other adventures too. Like the lunchladies at the school, world war three. He had opened her eyes up to so many wonderful things, most of them on different planets.
But it had to be said. Nothing the Doctor ever showed her in the rest of the entire universe could beat the beauty he showed her on earth. She had read stories and seen pictures about this, of course, but nothing could top being there. She stared up into the sky and watched the northen lights shine.
"Rose?" the Doctor asked. "Make a wish."
She smiled at him. "I've made a wish."
"What was it."
"You don't tell a wish," she said, laughing.
"But, I'm a time traveller," he said. "I can make almost anything happen."
"You can't make this happen," she promised him. Then she turned her face to the sky again to tell him that the discussion was over.
Rose looked between the Time-Lord Doctor and the Human Doctor. "All right," she said. "The both of you, answer me this: when I last stood on this beach, on the worst day of my life, what was the last thing you said to me?"
She was looking at Time-Lord Doctor, hoping he would answer her. "Go on, say it," she coaxed him.
"I said Rose Tyler," he said.
Obviously she thought. "Yeah, and how was that sentence going to end?"
"Does it need saying?" he said.
Rose turned to the Human Doctor. "And you, Doctor? What was the end of that sentence?"
He walked up to her and whispered in her ear. Three words, that's all it was. "I love you."
Finally, she thought as she brought his lips to hers in a passionate kiss.
The Time-Lord Doctor had had enough. He couldn't watch. He stormed back into the TARDIS, Donna following close behind.
The slamming of the TARDIS door brought Rose back to reality. "Wait!" she wanted to scream as the time machine disappeared. She didn't want to say anything to Time-Lord Doctor anymore. All she wanted to do was thank the ginger that had come and saved the day.
"Thank you," Rose whispered under her breath. "Thank you Donna. You made my wish come true."
So, I decided to do a Ten and Rose one, for my beautiful friend Emma. I hope she likes it. And I hope you do as well.
I love you all,
Love Gabielle xx
