If my Heart was a House…

Green.

The grass, the forest.

Everything is green.

Except for the sky.

The sky was blue.

Such a rich, deep kind of blue that you'll never ever forget.

You're the sky that I fell through
And I remember the view
Whenever I'm holding you

I turn around and look at you.

Your blonde hair is hanging in your eyes, but you don't recognize it, because you sleep.

While lying here on that beautiful grass watching the clouds passing by above us, you fell asleep.

The sun begins to set.

The sun hung from a string
Looking down on the world as it warms over everything
Chills run down my spine

The wind blows.

Your hair is blown into your eyes.

With a light touch I tug it behind your ear.

You lean into my touch and mouth my name.

Entwining our fingers I look at the setting sun again.

As our fingers entwine
And your sighs harmonize with mine
Unmistakably

I can clearly remember the day, we first danced.

It was a ball, held by the royal family.

You looked so beautiful back then.

Blushing a light shade of pink.

I can still feel your heart beat fast when you dance with me
We got older and I should've known

You blink a few times, before your eyes focus on mine.

"Do you feel alive?"

I look down into your smiling face.

While I nod you pull me close, settling yourself on my lap.

That I'd feel colder when I walk alone

We start to watch the sunset together.

"'s getting' cold"

You laugh a sweet laugh and smile into my face.

"Oh, but you'll survive"

After kissing my cheek, you start humming and lean back onto my shoulder.

So I may as well ditch my dismay
Bombs away, bombs away

Circle me and the needle moves gracefully
Back and forth
If my heart was a compass you'd be north

As long as we danced you blushed even more.

You whispered into my ear, that it was embarrassing.

But I just told you how amazingly beautiful you are.

Risk it all cause I'll catch you when you fall
Wherever you go
If my heart was a house you'd be home

I wish we could stay here forever, watching as the sun sets and the moon rises alongside the stars.

The tune you hum reminds me of home.

Our home.

It makes me smile because you said it best
I would clearly feel blessed if the sun rose up from the west
Flower balm perfume, all my clothes smell like you
Cause your favourite shade is navy blue

Once you said the colour blue suits me the best.

From that day on everything I wore was at least one bit blue.

I walk slowly when I'm on my own

Even when I'm without you, I can see your smile and feel your touch.

Just like now.

"Do you feel alive?"

I blink and look at you.

Nuzzling into your neck I grumble.

My way of saying "Yes, I do".

Yeah, but frankly I still feel alone

Because you're ticklish, you begin to giggle softly.

"Luv ya ta much…"

You smile at my face and put a chaste kiss onto my lips.

"Oh, but you'll survive"

So I may as well ditch my dismay
Bombs away, bombs away

Night falls and the moon is shining high and mighty above us.

You begin to shiver, so I put my coat above your shoulders.

I don't feel cold.

Just because you're right next to me.

Circle me and the needle moves gracefully
Back and forth
If my heart was a compass you'd be north

The northern lights draw themselves through the nightly sky.

They are beautiful.

But compared to you, they are nothing.

Risk it all cause I'll catch you when you fall
Wherever you go
If my heart was a house you'd be home

You stand up and take my hand.

Your look tells me, we should go home.

If my heart was a house you'd be home

You are already in my heart, Tino.
