Everyone was staring at him. Some with a hint of amusement, others with a hint of disbelief and several with a mixture of shock and outrage.
Hinata was gawking at her present, holding it between slender, pale fingers and just gawking with open mouth and wide eyes. "Eh, uhm, eh, t-thank you, N-Naruto-kun."
Naruto didn't reply. He was staring at the leather leash in Hinata's hand as if it were a bomb. He didn't dare look in Neji's direction in fear of triggering his rapidly growing bloodlust.
Kiba actually had the gall to chuckle. "Kinky." He said, opening his own present. But his smile dropped instantly when he pulled out a lacy white dress with matching stockings, gloves and even a hat. "What! The! Hell!"
The growl that followed forced Naruto back into reality. "I got it mixed up!" He said loudly, holding up his hands in surrender. "I got your presents' mixed up. Sorry!"
Neji stepped forward, the look in his eyes was the worst death threat that had ever been thrown Naruto's way.
"So let me get this straight." The Hyuuga said, teeth clenched, "You weren't actually going to give her a leather leash, you were going to give her a Marilyn Monroe role play costume! You BDSM freak!"
Naruto flinched. "No, it's not a costume! It's a gown. For the anniversary party! I swear!"
Neji scowled, looking unconvinced and ready to pounce. Naruto jumped and hid behind Sasuke, the only one Neji wouldn't attack without thinking twice, while Hinata and Kiba traded their presents.
"Hey, this leash doesn't fit Akamaru!" Kiba said, rounding on the blond behind Sasuke.
Naruto smirked. "That's because it's not Akamaru's present. It's yours."
Silence before Kiba, looking rather pale, turned to Hinata. "I changed my mind. I want the dress back."
"Hey!" Naruto yelled. "I paid good money for that, you ungrateful ass!"
