Tsuna has synesthesia. Creative, or what? REBORN IS NOT MINE.

syn·es·the·sia

n.

1. A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another

Tsuna doesn't bother to tell anyone, but he sees in technicolor. Nothing is just one sense to him, everything blurs together in a dizzying array of sounds and colors and tastes. His friends call it Hyper Intuition, but it's not; it's just hard to trick him when everything is interconnected.

1) Tsuna takes an instant disliking to Rokudo Mukuro. The first time he ever hears his name, it sends a searing blade of gunmetal gray that rips acrosses his vision, making him jump. And the man is no less bad; the sound of his voice floats around him like a veil, clouding Tsuna's vision with blue-black fog as obscure as Mukuro's illusions and sending pins and needles racing across Tsuna's skin.

2) Kyoko tastes like butterscotch, Tsuna thinks, and it fills his mouth, smooth and warm and whenever he sees Kyoko he feels at home.

3) Gokudera is brown, rugged and smooth like the trunk of a tree, infallible, unbendable, brown like the earth that can shake and rage, nurturing plants and green, holding lives carefully, gently in its hands.

4) Hibari Kyoya is a hard one for Tsuna to pin, his name to Tsuna is wave upon wave of dark, deep red that ripple across his vision, and his presence tastes like gunpowder and fear, something feral and untameable, something sharp and just out of reach, the scent of a poisonous flower.

5)Chrome sounds like bells, soft and hesitant, quiet chimes that flutter in the breeze.

6) Yamamoto is most certainly blue. But it is a funny blue, deep like the ocean, full of a tranquil darkness and electric, lightning-fast flashes of light. Yamamoto, fittingly, smells like the sky after rain, smells like roiling thunder and spring wind.

7)Byakuran's name, to Tsuna, is a blinding flash of white that nearly sends him to the ground, not a kind light, harsh and strong and sharp around the edges.
